ya X-2 didn't really have a story that made me want to play
...basically...all you are doing is running around and killing monsters....X was much better 
...also, VII, VIII, and tactics advance ( i have the emulator on my computer ). pretty fun...

in my opinion, the story is the "definition" of an rpg, which stands for ROLE playing game. like a movie.
so basically a final fantasy without a good story is a "beat 'em up" in which you take turns hitting eachother. BORINGGGG.....

My favorite is 4, and I'm not even finished. Of course, I've only played 4, 5, 7, and 10...

id pick ff10 too but... yuna studders like crazy in every sentence. it tends to get annoying becas shes one of the main characters

8 is the best and i havent even finished the game... i got stuck on disc 3... i went into Lunatic Pandora (or the big block thing.. forgot what its called) and then i was the girl is on the girl and then im to weak now and need to restart cuz i forgot to save it before i went in... damn it!

Final Fantasy X was awesome. So was VII.
I noticed a lot of gamers these days are stuck in the past and can't get over the fact that there will not and will never be a remake of final fantasy VII. Closest you can get to that though is Final Fantasy Advent Children....That's looking awesome so far...damn all this technology costs so much money...

ffVII (just started playing it and a bit cinfused about the story AS USUAL and ffx and ffx2 as well.......haven't playeed ffVII yet!!!! (or FFIX)
Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles is a fun game as long as you're doing co-op.

In a review, FF7 bested FF8. FF7 was the best (IMO) FF on the PSONE.
FFXII is set for a release in 2006...
You wan know why FFX-2 is my favorite?
Out of all, FFTactics (PSONE) was the most addictive for me.

7 rocked the most I wish they could remake it for better grpahics!
X & X-2 are my favorite, but I like X more.
I like 8 and 10. X-2 is good because there's a lot of missions and side missions and you need to get a lot of items and stuff, so it's entertaining. The other 2 are simply the best.
