my situation:

im sort of 'talking' to this one kid which happens to be a boy that my friends wouldnt really consider as "good enough," my friends are WONDERFUL and all but they always pre-judge the boys that try to get to me. i dont know why, but im actually considering the possibilities of us being together, partly because he's friends with the boy that i used to hella like and i still kinda like him. anyway should i go for him? considering the fact that i know i would get some lightweight negative re-action from my friends, and that i still have lightweight feelings for his friend. but im really startin' to feel him, like we were talking on the phone the other day and i could barely talk because i couldnt breath =X i was nervous and that never happend to me before.

advice?

The guy is showing signs that he likes you.. and i think you like him too.

BUT your friends might be right about him.

Just wait for a while and see what happens. If he asks you out, then go out with him. If not, then maybe your friends were right.

go with what you think is right, if you like him and he likes you then why not go for it. but be sure that you're not just falling for him cause he's the friend of a boy you used really like.

Ask him wsap. My friends is the exact same way, real talk. Tellin me that no boy i get with or try to get at me is good enough. But even if you lightweight like him, then you gotta get at it Lol. Seems like dude feenin` on you too. (;

First discuss with your friends why they think he isn't good enough. If there reasoning is because of him cheating in the past, then be cautious. But if it's because he's lower on the social scale, then do want you want to, not your friends.

Are their reasons for not likely him legitimate (i.e. he's a jerk, he's a drug addict or alcoholic, he's dangerous, etc.)? If the reasons aren't legitimate, do what you—not your friends—feel is right.

Why do your friends feel that way about him? Has he done drugs, or like a criminal record, or just a bad attitude or something? If they have a good reason for feeling the way they do, then I would be a little hesitant. If they don't have any facts to base this off of, then I would say go for it. If you date him, and your friends hang around him, maybe they'll see why you guys are good for each other.
