hm...I searched and there weren't any polls that asked for the best charectoristics of people in general (only guys/girls) but yea if i missed something feel free to close this

i had sooo much trouble picking one...what do you think?
Zatanna
Well, the choices were hard, but I went with intelligence because I think humor and intelligence go hand in hand for the most part. =)
Tribal J_Rome
hmmmmmmmm....

out of all of those i voted for loyalty, but i noticed the poll said people and i was thinking about friends. so i REALLY choose honesty.
i_liek_sushi
If you are intelligent, you should know when to use all the above except for sense of humor maybe.
xscore
hmmm...
that's a toughie.

i'd say honesty. :]
upf147
your right, this is tough, my top 4, probably honesty, caring/loving, loyalty, and sense of humor, in that order. its hard just to pick one...
mzbbc
i really admire people who are openminded and accepting. people who can get along with everyone flowers.gif
mipadi
Confidence. Everything about a person and his interactions with others is derived from his own self-confidence. Humor, personality, friendliness, intelligence (and ability to discuss intelligent things), honesty, and open-mindedness all comes from a person being sure and comfortable with himself.

i never thought about it like that. i guess i would have to change mine to confidence then
illumineering
Honesty is the most important quality to me. Without a moral compass to guide a person through life, all else is irrelevant. Integrity and character are the most enduring elements of successful relationships of all kinds.
De112
Everyone, thinks i'm funny, and just real. I speak my mind. And it tends to make people laugh. so i'd want someone like that, too.
cLinT_wEStw0oD
honesty takes the cake =)
mona lisa
Hmm. I was going to choose intelligence but I'm leaning toward self-confidence due to what Michael said.

Honesty has the lead right now, but I'm usually (brutally) honest. Hmm.
-lana
For me, openmindedness.
lit0chinagirl
i picked openminded because i think that with that trait, people can go a long way in trying to understanding each other better. i've known too many people who have gotten upset over something because they didn't see the other side to the situation.

Babi3xFoOlish
intelligences,
n besides it comes in the package with all the other qaulities.
EddieV
I like intelligence, openmindedness, independance, and loving at the same level.
Smoogrish
Well, they have to have intelligence. Otherwise, they'd be (no offense), not interesting to talk to. They have to be funny. And then caring/loving, which if they were, they would also be honest and loyal and yeah. All that good stuff.
disco infiltrator
Sense of humor.

I would say intelligence, or at least thinking, but I can at least talk to people who aren't that smart and be OK with it. I really can't stand talking to people who don't know how to laugh.
Hell-Rell
Humor and Intelligence.

I 100% agree. I value those who are openminded. That quality is seriously very hard to come by and very important to have.
sadolakced acid
it's between confidence, open mindedness, and intelligence.
NgocQuyen
i'd say modesty/manners in people...that's important to me because i don't like people being rude or crude to anyone....i mean i like honesty...but sometimes the truth hurts...and some things are better left unsaid...

but really...i dont honestly LOOK for these things...haha not when finding a friend anyways wink.gif
m.ar.i.a
i voted open-mindedness
cuz if its just people, then i dont want some random ppl yelling at me if i disagree with them... _dry.gif
klumzy
modesty/manners

-intelligent people are know-it-alls.. annoying as hell
-sense of humor is good and all but being funny guy everytime gets old real fast
-confidence is a good thing.. but dont be confident if you got nothing to be confident about.. that'll only get you ridicule or better yet, your ass kicked
-independent people don't need you
-loyalty will only go so far.. we're all human, if it came down to it, most of us will choose to help ourselves first and foremost
-caring/loving.. aww how sweet -_- but most people can't trully care for someone they don't love
-honesty.. if millions were on the line, would you be honest? if you liked someone but that person liked your friend, would you be honest? i didn't think so.. but dont feel bad, most people would do the same thing
-success has a tendency to give people "big head syndrome".. really annoying as well unless you're one of those spineless suckups
openmindedness.. wonder if thats even a word.. but who cares, there are worse things/traits

dang.. i think thats just about the most i've ever typed here
Just_Dream
I'm torn between sense of humor, intelligence, and of course, modest/manners. I mean, I'd like someone who's modest and has manners. :]

Intelligence.. that's a must as well. Sense of humor--definitely. It's tough when they don't. I mean, I remember when my boyfriend used to be soooo mellow.. actually he still is. He'd have no emotion on his face and barely laughed at anything... I mean, SOMETIMES he's like this. So a sense of humor is a must....
angelrevelation
caring, intelligence, sense of humor, loyalty and openmindedness. manners too... somewhat. all of those things are important
REBELnDISGUISE
I would say just personality in general.
Mintyfresh977
I said caring and loving because people who are caring and loving tend to be honest and loyal. But I do think intelligence, openmindedness, and a sense of humor are also important qualities in people.
WindSorcerous
_smile.gif Loving and caring
jennyjenny
Tough choices.

intelligence
sense of humor
loyalty

i'm sorry, i chose three.
hello moto
that was tough. i'd have to go with honesty but most of the choices are pretty important too. if you combine those, you get the perfect guy. rawr
nightowl89
^ thats how I came up with the choices. tongue.gif

Keep voting and responding please! this is really interesting. And I think its important to think about what you want to see the most in people you are in relationships with. friendships and romantic involvment too.
LexyGirl
I definitely choose honesty. Honesty is the basis for all progress in a relationship, as if there is no trust, there is no progress.
vash1530
i value open-mindedness becuz ppl who arnt open to new and different things just arn't fun.....
iixSOOJINx
Even though I chose caring/loving, I wanted to choose honesty also. But if you think about the honesty thing.. people still end up lying.. about SOMETHING.
angel-roh
I chose SENSE OF HUMOR.

But, also friendly,caring,loving,open-minded
Rachel

I just realized how much I enjoy your avatar.

Anyway, I agree with Michael yet again. =]
SandRAWRz
caring....and loyalty
rAwritsgWeg
intell. and honesty and if they are freethinker like thats really cool
yukichan
Very hard to choose...
Honesty.
I find that really important for some reason...
fameONE
Honesty. Blunt, straightforward, allballsnobullshit, "Honesty."

Don't beat around the bush, don't say what you don't mean, don't tell me half truths, be upfront.

Love or hate someone, I'll always respect someone who's straight up.

I can't talk to stupid people
innovation
Hm, I would say open-mindedness.
Mistress Bags
Openmindedness goes hand-and-hand with intelligence, so I pick intelligence. I am bored so easily by people, so I require interesting and intelligent conversation to stimulate me. All of the other attributes are also needed for a strong friendship, but intelligence comes first, in my opinion.

Ah, I'm such an intelligence snob. -_-
goodcharlotte
Caring. I don't know why but I am a sucker for people who actually care.
Jeng
i went with honesty
you dont want someone lying to you
datass
I'm stuck between loyalty, love/caring, and honesty.
Gypsy Eyes
It's a tie between confidence, intelligence and a sense of humor. I think they all kind of happen if you have confidence.
