Your colourization

The skin? The hair? All from the original picture. You didn't colourize that. Therefore, you didn't "color everything in this picture."

really?? to me, the skin and hair looks a little darker from original... ??
mona lisa
Maybe you ought to choose better pictures.... i.e. close-ups. =\
xosteffanator
Wow that's really good.
But the hands are kind of pale....
But everything else is great =]
heyyfrankie
i thought that colorizations started out with black & white images..?
other wise those couldn't be colorizations; those would be...ChangeTheColor-izations.

That can be done EASILY by simple one-button editing.

Okay, so if you all say that it looks close.

Why do the hands look EXACTLY THE SAME?

Why not colourize the hands so they look better?

Also, do you see the red splotches on her chest? They're in EXACTLY THE SAME PLACES.

The human skin isn't made of one colour. That's why colourizations which only use one colour for the skin look so pale, gray, or unnatural. Because human's aren't one colour. We're a bunch of colours, in different areas. We're slightly yellow toned, magenta toned, blue or red toned in certain areas. Look closely. All the different kinds of colours are in the SAME PLACES.

Hey, maybe I'm wrong. Maybe you did take the time to colourize these different colours to a tee compared to the original. These are just my suspicions based on your past work.
Comptine
^ i noticed the hands - it's weird that they are both reddish. but i'll give her the benefit of the doubt and believe that she colourized it.

her hands are red - like they are burnt. everytime you colourize a picture, you never colourize the jeans. you should even if it's just a tint. the stark gray looks bad against the bright colors.

This is the second time you (RupertGrintluvr15) tried to claim credit for something you didn't do. Here for example.

Was that towards RupertGrintluvr15 or gigiopolis?
--------------------------
I have to say that the images are oddly similar. The hands are exactly the same. I've opened both in Photoshop and compared the colors by zooming in. Other areas are the same as well.

just to explain the pink hands she is wearing gloves, look closely.
Gigi
^ She is? I'm looking really closely right now and I can sort of make out the little wrinkles from a bare hand. The pictures so small, though, it's hard to make out.

I shall try to screenshot a magnified picture if Style.com happens to have an interactive version of the show.

EDIT// So Sweetface (Jennifer Lopez's new line) doesn't have an interactive version, but there is a video of the show. Isabeli Fontana's the first one down the runway, and there are a few seconds of her, and it looks like her hands are bare.

oh, it does look like her hands are bare..
Annie5332
Nope. No gloves. Just bare hands. And RupertGrintluvr15, you need to stop using other peoples hard work and MAKE some of your own. We're getting sick of you doing this so I suggest you start using tutorials or something to learn how to make something insted of taking something and calling it yours.
iiTsDAYNA
yah know... Im getting tired of you guys always picking on me searching up stuff about my work.I dont take other peoples work and call it my own.I did colorize it so what i kept the same skin color. I havent LEARNED how to get the skin color without using a overlay colorization (if thats what its called) I havent learned how to do it... But i still had to work hard on keeping the color inside the lines!! I worked hard on changing the colors of things too. I didnt just take the original image and change colors from that. I did more than that and how about you go and INVESTIGATE on other peoples things??? How do you know that they didnt just do what you think I did??? I still worked really hard on it and Im sick of everyone placing the blame on me and saying things like "She didnt do this herself" . Why dont you just appreciate my work and sit back and CONSTRUCTIVELY comment me so I can learn how to do it. I know you guys didnt learn how to do this in one day. ROME WASNT BUILT IN A DAY.

I try. and thats all that counts...

well their probably not actually searching your images to see if they're original but it seems to that they have remembered the picture and probably thought that i looked bery much like the original, and beside do you think some one would actually take the time and search for your images? you should'nt be so defensive because after u said "c&c welcome" and as a fellow createblogger their just letting you know that you did not fully colorize the image and consequently you really are taking credit for something you did not fully do yourself.
-lana
Alright, I understand that you tried, BUT, you said in your post up there that you didn't colourize the skin, but in the post where you showed us your colourization, it says that you coloured EVERYTHING, but yet, you didn't. When you said that you colourized everything, that mislead us to think that you really did, but you didn't. So, please, next time, don't say you colourized everything, if you didn't. I'm not quite sure if I'm making sense. >.<

according to other posters, this isn't the first time you claimed you did everything when you only did a little. Gigi caught you on your jennifer garner "colourization" because she wanted to see the original and searched for it since you failed to post it. I guess she mistrusted you or just wanted to see the original again, but she caught you.

You try and that's all that counts? Colourizations are one of my favorite digital art works. Just desaturating one part and coloring it or changing the colors doesn't make it a colourization. Other people had to learn who to colour and go through the process of making it look good. If you can't colourize, look at tutorials.
iiTsDAYNA
I didnt desaturate it. I did much more than that to get the color of the skin. I had to greyscale it, duplicate it.. add layers and color inside the lines to get the skin color.. Because people fail to help me out when i ask how to colorize the skin with GIMP because most people barely know anything about Gimp...
Gigi
I think we have to get one thing straight, I only said that she was MISLEADING in the Jennifer Garner one. She didn't lie and say she colourized everything, she didn't even say anything about it. So I can't blame her for that, that's just unfair.

However, for this colourization she said she coloured EVERYTHING - now I don't know what her definition is by EVERYTHING, but from my and many other interpretations, it means EVERY SINGLE PIXEL IN THE ENTIRE IMAGE. It could be a misunderstanding on all our parts.

I have to say, RupertGrintluvr15, that constructively criticising something that I know has been cheated into (or mistakenly so), is hard for me. Obviously the first thing I would want to do is to make people aware, so that others can't take credit for stuff they don't do. Now that's just unfair to people who work really really hard creating art.

And RupertGrintluvr15, I know my investigation makes me look like a loser, and looks like I'm purposely trying to "catch" you, but I certainly didn't want to discourage or take away from everything else you did in the colourization. So I'm sorry for that. I just hope that next time you'll make it crystal clear to everyone about what you did or didn't do.

I also hope that all of you will drop the subject as of now and the next time RupertGrintluvr15 posts a colourization, that we will all forget about this little thing, k? happy.gif Everyone deserves a chance.
