some of you guys are saying that its STUPID and that they are LOSERS. but think about it, they are just little kids. when i heard of it i wanted to try it i was in like 2nd grade and i tried it once but not seriously we gave up cause we didnt think it would work. but these kids are curious just like us.
look at it through their eyes. you guys look at them and called them losers but they are just kids they don't know better. they didnt know it could kill them.

yea you said "some", the others fall under the age of 13. and who do you think teaches them, their older brothers or sisters.
i am not saying they shouldnt be stopped i just think that calling some of them "losers" shouldnt be the way to solve it especially when we were little curious kids ourselves.

^ Surely, if kids that young could have the ability to understand the human body enough to be able to "faint" themselves as a game, then they would know that it's potentially harmful?

yeah, guys. it was from seventeen.
^ i agree with gigiopolis. what part of "choking game" sounds remotely healthy? yeah, little kids might not really understand (but they do understand we need air to live). but teenagers? in the news clip, this girl was like, "it isn't drugs or something. it doesn't mess up your organs. you just pass out. like on a roller coaster."
i was so shocked. i kinda thought she needed to die. some kids can't have someone to play the game with so they choke themselves by hanging from some strap thing. the strap sometimes doesn't unhook and they literally hang themselves. hello? heard of the gallows?

i played that game ....once when i was at church and when my friend placed his hand on my heart .....it felt soo freaky ...its like you automatically faint ...and you dont remember what happens when you wake up . the 2nd time i tried it wasin the boys locker room during gym when my classmates held the arteries on my neck i fainted .....i woke up having a painful sensation on my stomach and legs ...and i found out that my shoes were missing too ...lol ..i guess they beat me up and copped my shoes while i was unconscious .

Yeah.. Sharpies are like elementary school drugs..
You see all htese tiny little kindergarteners running around elementary school brandishing sharpies and yelling "MMMMMM SMELLS SO GOOOOOOD". I swear, one day, it'll be some drug that gangstas (ME!) do on the street.. and then in Health Ed (NO THE TERROR) they'll have to teach children how to refuse Sharpies.
"What do you do if someone offers you a pack of rainbow colored Sharpies?"
"Use the exchange method and ask if they want to do something else!"

^ my friend played a different version. she said she got a high off of it. like she and her friends compared the feelings. some said that it felt like any high you can get on drugs. some said it gave them a thrill cause it felt like falling really fast. most of them agreed that after they woke up (after a few minutes of disorientation) that they had so much energy and it felt like they've been sleeping for quite some time.

You basically put your hands around your neck and block the air going to your lungs until you pass out. Some people actually half-hang themselves.. that's how some of them died, because they did it wrong basically hanged themselves.
Yeah, and about the blood flow, that would be the oxygen idea, because the blood carries oxygen to your brain. I've never heard of anyone becoming brain-dead because of it, but I bet it's possible.

I've heard that one...and last year someone actually did it in class. I don't know if the guy did it wrong but he didn't pass out when she pressed his heart.
Also...yeah..I hate how people call people stupid when they don't know what's going on in them individually. Like caller cutters stupid or people that do drugs or this "choking" game. I'm not defending them, it's not right for them to do so...I'm just against those who don't understand and then end up calling them "stupid."
Not everyone is as sensible as you...whether you're their age or not. It's like playing tag when you were young...nobody's going to think, "Oh..no, I might trip and fall and hurt myself, I won't do it." Therefore they won't think, "Oh I might die from passing out."
It's like smoking also. I hate people that smoke..but you can understand that those that were curious of it tried it once. ONCE. And then they got addicted. There are those that are just not as strong willed.
It just makes me wonder how people could just call them "stupid." Wow, you've never done stupid yourself...you just happened to pick the right thing to be stupid on, perhaps.

I just heard about this the other day on the news. I've never seen it happen or known anyone who does it but it doesn't surprise me. There is a whole subculture of people who cut off their oxygen supply during orgasms to highten the feeling. I've never tried that or the choking game and I don't plan to. I'm usually very supportive of people and openminded but I"m perfectly proud of saying I don't support people who do either thing. I hope they all wake up and stop this.

It IS stupid. Honestly, if you want a high, do something nice or get something better to do. Why do it if it's dangerous and you could potentially die, get brain damage, and/or go into a coma from lack of oxygen in the brain?
