True! I think that it doesnt matter what size you are that counts. You could be small and still do things better than people who are bigger than you. ^_^ Dont worry about all of that stuff. You need to worry more about where you want to go with your life.

Dude, I think you need to get an appointment with an Endocrinologist and get a series of tests done e.g. bone age, hormone deficiency, blood etc.

I heard somewhere that while you're growing (like around puberty age) and you drink 3 glasses of milk a day you'll be 3 inches taller than you'll normally grow to be. I don't know how much truth there is in that but I'm sure it won't hurt.

And I seriously doubt you're 17, maybe you are and you've never used a computer before, or talked to people for that matter.

Most of my friends are 16-17 years old and they don't complain about their height. One of my friends is 5'0" but you have to learn to make the best of it. Just laugh at jokes and find something to make fun of them for. It's called "suck it up". There are things I'm not exactly happy for that I'd love to change on me but you have to learn to deal with it. You're not the only short guy in the world. Don't buy drugs to make you taller, chances are it will screw something else up and you'll regret it in the end, even if they don't tell you that on the box.

One of my old basketball coaches was very short growing up and when he was about your age he grew nine inches in a year, anything is possible. :)

i was shortt and then all of a sudden i got a growth spurt like every week which was kinda of scary. i did stretches before i went to sleep and i played basketball a lot which was a lot of jumping for me and i think it helped. i dunno. you mite get a growth spurt soon. guys just get it much later sometime i think.

Certainly in the end, a person who is short just has to "deal with it", but it's not always that easy, especially in high school. Sometimes it's downright annoying to be small. And in terms of romance, it can be highly detrimental to be short. Many women say that a big turn-off is a guy's being short; most women even go so far as to say that they wouldn't date a guy who was shorter. There is a stigma against short guys that is unfair, and it often can't be understood by anyone but short guys.

of course its not easy but ur options of dealing with it are limited.

Yea, bone age is diffrent than your actual age. Usually your mental age is too...i.e. maturity. My bone age is one year younger than my real age, thus puberty will last about a year longer (hopefully)

yah but if you think about it, theres nothng you can really do unless like..knee surgery or somethin so you can really do anything BUT deal with it..

wear those things in your shoes that make you two inces taller. im sure there are girls shorter than you and unless you want to be a model or basketball star thats all that really matters.

Don't worry about growing, it will happen in time. Most men go through puberty until their about 20, or so I've heard. So give it some time. Who knows, you might hit a growth spurt in a couple months or a year or two, just be patient. And maybe you won't ever get any taller but thats okay to. If you feel comfortable with your own height then others will too.

guys don't stop growing until their mid-20's. you still have a lot of time. if your parents are relatively small, also, then chances are genetics will cause you to remain short. get an appointment with your doctor, and maybe he can prescribe you some growth medicine.

here's my suggestion... Dont workout until your what...umm.... 22 i think(but some people still grow until 29 though)... don't lift heavy weights lift light weights but not too much. don't over-do work outs, it affects you human growth hormone(HGH). Sleep at 9pm(no later than 10pm due to stress) and for no longer than 9 hours. If you sleep for more than 9 hours you'll get some extra fat(from what I heard) and it causes to slow down your growth hormone. And don't be lazy, it does the same thing as sleeping too much! Be active most of the time, and play fast pace sports like basketball, volleyball, tennis, and jog some(not too much just enough to get you by) Doing this for a straight whole year would get you an inch or 2 taller.



PS- I DO NOT recommend growth pills or injections that will make you grow. Coz once you take these there are some crazy side effect like headache, nausia, puking, etc. And they will stop your growth hormone from growing. Don't rush it, it'll come to you if you do those. And it is genetics, taller people seem to be the ones who are blessed with tallness genes... But as long as you do those things you'll grow little by little, year by year. Oh yeah, AVOID CAFFEINE!!! Chocolates too and excerscise properly...
