most of the time .. memories are something we treasure
but other times ..
some memories are just like the blood hiding beneath a scab
a thought .. dark and silent waiting for that one moment to errupt
the one moment could be a bump, a reminder, or part of the memory in its flesh
the person is tempted to pick it and remove the dark cloud revealing the bright flood of memories
but, it comes with a price
what comes out .. the blood .. the memories
too much may lead to pain .. painful memories flooding back till the person is weak
however the person is determined to leave it alone
hoping it will go away, leave and never come back
well in that particular spot at least.
unless another person comes etching another mark in her skin
she's sure she'll leave it alone .. and so she waits.
waiting for it to disappear
but the memory is suddenly bought back to life as the scab is removed forcefully ..
i n e v i t a b l e l y
she sees it .. the scab comes back .. but no longer a scab
a wound
it hurts .. the memory is as real as ever
