I personally wouldn't ever go for blonde since it wouldn't match my face, but I know a few Asian girls who can really work the honey brown/blonde hair. My hair's currently a darker shade of red and I don't see it as changing my personality. In fact, I think the things you choose to wear and the changes you make to your body do a lot to enhance your personality.

And plenty of other races dye their hair, too. It's not like we're getting frontal lobotomies, people.

Anyways, I think some people look nice with dyed blonde hair, as long as its not like platinum blonde (I think platinum blonde looks better on guys than girls). I think if they find a good tone of blonde that works with their hair color, it looks nice. I rather prefer Asian guys with blonde hair than Asian girls with blonde hair (unless its highlights with a good tone of blonde).

Actually I shaved my hair off and now it's dark and ready to opt for an 'icy' white platinum!!! I thought I've achieved a 'platinum' before by over bleaching, [though the color looks awesome for few days] but it'll turn into an ugly 'yellowish' after 2 weeks and it fried my hair that I have to shave it off again I learned that you have to have a toner to achieve the color and to remove the hideous yellow tones.

Another pic [I maintained this level of 'lightness' for several months] and ready to step up to 2-3 levels lighter!!!!

I'm not trying to be caucasian when bleaching my hair, neither am I changing my personality. And I have a feeling some of you guys haven't really seen any really stylish asians with blonde hair, because most of those look quite awesome (though, that's a subjective matter).

"Asians who dye their hair blonde do that because they try to be white!!" It's like saying that all those who dye they hair are trying to be someone else, and that is effin' silly.

I dye my hair because I think I look boring with black hair, and because blonde hair attracts me more than black. It's all about feeling comfortable and pretty-looking (not saying that other haircolours can't look pretty), not about trying to look more white or whatever o_o; I've lived in Norway for all my life, so I do consider myself a Norwegian, but my ethnicity is Korean, and I don't try to hide that in any way. I'm proud to be who I am, and as said, dying my hair has nothing to with my personality or what ethnicity I am of.

People can bleach their hair as much as they want, and dye their hair in any colour they want, as long as... well, they want to. It does not need to mean that they're weird and are wannabes.

But of course, I agree with a lot of you too. The outcome depends on the person's face too. But even so, people should be able to dye their hair in whatever colour they like.
