MOTHER NATURE AND ME

A cold day with a teasing sun brought a dream to an end
He said goodbye, I saw the guilt in his eyes
He ran away from a pain he couldn't escape before
And I stood there, with a broken smile
Accepting but not understanding why I was let go to find his way.
Is this what love is?
Is this what love is?

I've learned to stay away from love
Cause it's brings nothing but tears and pain
But still, it makes you want to love the rain
Feeling the tears as they sky cries over you
You're not alone after all
Mother nature feel pain too

I stand now where he used to stand and his shoes fit so well
He's not here to see me walk in a backwards fashion
Since the past is all I know.
How do you go back to the way it used to be
Once the love has been stripped so bear and clean?
Unanswered questions,
Is this what love is?

I see the tears from her eyes
I hear the cries so late at night
I feel her breath blow only in one direction
She's talking to me,
