I have Norton Internet Security... which has Norton Antivirus, which I recommend. If you are looking for a free program, I recommend Grisoft's AVG Free here.

It's in the name of the virus...
"IRC/Backdoor.Flood

You got them from an IRC chatroom. Or the program had a flaw, and someone put a virus in our computer cause of the programs flaw.

As for the antivirus. I think Norton and McAfee both are only Number 2-3. Everybody only uses them cause they are popular. They aren't the best.

I particually like Trend Micro. It's awesome, it updates everyday, and works really well.

Or, if you wanna not get viruses/spyware/adware/malware/trojans/keyloggers/rootkits/botnets, you should use Linux. I use linux and it's awesome. I can go to any porn site I want, and not get a virus! -(Just kidding)

Actually, rootkits are a problem in the Unix world. In fact, the term "rootkit" comes from the fact that originally, rootkits were software "kits" that utilized the privileges of the "root" user to cause damage.

Hm, and since Linux is devrived off of Unix, Im guessing it's a problem for linux too.

Sony didn't invent rootkits. They have been around for decades.

Any any rate, they're very rare on Unix systems, but they do exist. They're not as easy to get infected by, or affect other computers with, as viruses or trojan horses.

I didn't say Sony invented rootkits. Of course they didn't.

I heard McAfee is pretty good. Usually the protection you have to pay for is better.
