For my final project in art due tomorrow, we have to write a report about an artist and the type of art they do. My problem is starting the introduction paragraph. I'm doing the project over photography. How would you write out the intro? I'm kind of brain-dead right now.

Many thanks.

EDIT: SORRY, I WAS LOOKING FOR THE HOMEWORK FORUM AND I DIDN'T SEE THE SCHOOL ONE.

What kind of photography? Who will you focus on? I thought you had to choose an artist. Ansel Adams is a globally recognized landscape photographer who did some awesome b/w work. Edward Curtis did some phenomenal American Indian work at the turn of the 20th century.

You might first narrow your topic a bit by focusing on a particular style and sececting a significant photographer who embodies that style. Your introduction would focus on the style of photographic expression you are writing about, the photographer that works in that style and the contributions that individual has made to photography.

Subsequent paragraphs would simply expand on the introductory paragraph w/ some personal critiques/observations to supplement the informative/biographical nature of the report.
