Strategically, the Pearl Harbor attack wasn't as crippiling as it seemed. Sure the IJN destroyed three battleships, but strategic value would shift towards aircraft carriers and submarines, and IJN was preparing their battleship fleet, and was kind of caught with their pants down when we turned the Pacific war around using ACs and subs. Luckily, all three of our Pacific aircraft carriers were not in the harbor, two were sortied in the pacific, and one was in the continental U.S.
Even so, 2,400 sailors dead was a pretty big loss.

Ahh. Pearl Harbor the movie was touching.

I hated it when the woman thought her husband died, and the husband's friend (Josh Hartnett! :3) took over, and yeah. Some bad moments there.

Anyway, R.I.P. veterans of Pearl Harbor.
