Hey... does anyone know if it's possible to make it so that no one can upload illegal mp3s on their ftp accounts? So like... if anyone trys to upload an mp3 on their subdomain of my site... it will block it. I think my host will shut down my site if anyone uploads them.

It can get your site shut down... can't it?

You'll lose bandwidth, but I don't know about it shuting down though. ermm.gif

I don't know of any way to block certain files from being uploaded or downloaded via FTP. If there is a way, it would be dependent upon the software (FTP server) used by your host.

It depends on your host..? My host has quicktime streaming on my plan...
I'm not sure if it's possible to block it..the only thing I would do is check up on their directory via FTP, and check to see if they have uploaded mp3's..I doubt that the second an mp3 is uploaded that your website will shut down and big huge window with 'OOOH YOU'VE BEEN BADDD' will pop up.
