i tried and tried. but i cant figure this out or find any tutorials on google // yahoo about what im stuck on. where can you download and how do you install windows XP system skins? im talking about start bars, logon windows, system icons, ect.

you can actually download programs w/ skins. ex: windows blinds & stylexp you can find links to the downloads on google. They will change the stuff to there layouts. I think you can make sme with these programs as well.

It's not so hard with window blinds.
I think Adobe Bridge can customize the icons on your desktop, not sure.

I used to do that... I used Windows Blinds... then I tried some Uxtheme.dll patch... it was more confusing than Windows Blinds. I'd use Windows Blinds because it's easier.

I used to have Fly-a-Kite 2. Which basically attacks the windows GUI and turns it Aqua. (no programs running just altering the original files) It is rather good at making XP look like a Mac if thats what your after, and since it does not run in the background like other programs (such as desktop X or windows blinds) you don't loose memory or performance.
