no actually you get a dark greenish yellow black color kind of like a bee.

Def. the black one! Black is SEXY! I never really paid attention to iPods, but last week my friend brought his black iPod nano to school and I REALLY liked it. Now Im buying myself one for christmas

Suzzette -- Yea you're right, black is the absence of color. If you get all technical with it, dealing with prisms and such, white is the presence of all color since all colors reflect off of white--or something like that.

Black. I already have the iPod black nano and yes it is friggin SEXY.

Scratches show up more on the black, but that's why you take special care of it by getting a clear protector for it and/or case! The white nano gets really scratched up too, it's just that no one can see it! Scratches on white are almost unnoticed.

Anyway, the black one is way more sleeker, imo. Plus, if you have the screen turned on with blacklight on, it looks 10 x more sexy! White on black.. it totally stands out. I love you, 4gb black iPod nano.

White if you're a slob.

Hmm, I saw the black one at school, and I don't think it looked that nice. So I would go with the white one.

Nano is my least favorite, although if I had to get one then black.

dont like ipods but if i was getting one, black looks a lot better.

i was going to get white but after what Christina said i might be getting black. too bad they didnt have it in pink .

White, for two reasons:

1.) The black one shows scratches REALLY bad.
2.) White is.. iPod-ish. If I'm spending $200-250 on an iPod, I want it to look like an iPod.

The black one looks cooler at first, but once it's used and you see it up in real life (not a picture) it loses its appeal. That's what I've seen at least.

Where did you see one? Was it at the iPod store or other electronics stores? Well see, most of them are probably scratched due to people regularly handling/using (testing) them. The white one scratches as much, but since it's white, they don't show as much. But that DOES NOT prevent the nano, regardless of color, from having its screen scratched to the point where it becomes unreadable.

If one takes care of it, i.e. screen protectors and the like, it will remain sexy. I've had mine since october, and it's REALLY sexy. It's black and plus, you're right that you'd want it to look like an iPod, but rather I want people to see how sleek it looks and it's nice to have black since it's much different from a regular ipod with the default color of white.

My boyfriend works at Radio Shack, and he and one of his coworkers both bought the nano around the same time. The guy he works with bought the black one, and he treats it like his baby, but it still ended up looking awful after about a week. XD

So anyway, they both bring their nanos with them to work to help them with the sales pitch and stuff. They both take really good care of them, but neither of them really likes those silicon cases. My boyfriend's white one is still really scratched up, but there's a huge difference when you see the front side of both next to each other. I guess that's their fault, but he can't get rid of it now because I already engraved his name and phone number on the back.

I got the mrobe 100, and I swear it will never come out of the protective case. I bought a pink Belkin iPod mini case since they're about the same size, and it looks adorable. :) The mrobe is black/red though, and I love it because it's so different. So I don't really want to go mainstream.. Just that if I DID go mainstream, I'd go all the way. :P

Anyway, the nano is still the best iPod I've seen yet. Even the video iPod is kinda big. Plus if you know where to look, there are still ways to get the nano to play video.

well..i never wanted ipods b/c i had a zen micro and i loved it..but i lost it so my parents r getting me the nano...after debating whether i should actually get the nano or the 8gb creative zen microphoto (same price) my parents were like..get the nano..i placed the order last week and today they just made me call them up to change the order to an ipod video..b/c it plays videos -__-...now..3 hrs later theyre having 2nd thoughts..AGAIN..

is the ipod video that big..O.o..it still fits in the pocket comfortably doesnt it..?

I have a black iPod Nano.

I'd get the black one.
But I've heard that you can easily see the scratches with the black one (or is that the white one, ).

I like White, it matches my Imac.... as well as most of the extras (Ihome, dock, ect.)

If i got an ipod nano, i would get black.

But i have the ipod video and i just got it today. And its black.

black is hot. lol
