ok.. so how do i get wordpress into my page?

so like when i post in my blog for wordpress it puts w/e i put there in my page...

You download it and follow the instructions in... I think it's readme.html, all you really have to do is click on the links.

Then you create a skin for it.

er.. i tryed dling it... didnt understand too much... i think it would be easier if soembody told me how to do this the right way

^ somebody telling you how to do it would take a really long time. wp is complicated . Getting through the installation is sort of hard but not as hard as some other things maybe. Try talking to your host usually they can do it for you with fantisco(sp?)

you should be able to set it to a page such as http://yoursite.com/wp

you can use an iframe to include the blog or use php includes.

^ yes databse . No fantistico it just makes it easier, but you can set it up manually.
If you do it manually you have to go through the installation process they tell you when you download the file. Then you can get yoursite.com/wp like you said.

i have it downloaded... i just dont kno how to make it like kristinaas or artislife's page... now thats all im stuck on

i just told you.
make a url for your blog. such as yoursite.com/wp

all that will be on that page are your entries. you can use an iframe to place your entries where you want.

it really isnt all that complicated.

i have fantastico, i dled wp, i made a file for it.. i have an iframe i just dont kno how to like... get the words i type into the iframe... thats all ive needed the entire time... u guys have just thought somthing diff. sorry bout being so unclear = |

having it downloaded has nothing to do with it. Now open the read me file and listen on how to set it up.

download it. If its a .zip file unzip it .
then find the folder were you saved the unzip file to.
open the file .. then read the read me instructions or installation instructions.

You will need a mysql database so you will need to get one from your host ..

i dled all the scripts right onto my site.. so i dont have it on my computer

go to your site then either /wordpress/ or /wp/ . and if it shows up then you have it. If not you don't

1) You weren't being specific. you obviously already have it installed.
2) NO DATABASE SINCE ITS INSTALLED FORGET THE READ ME FILE.

o yea... and that bouncing bubbles doesnt help much... it has a lot but nothing about how to shave wp down and customize it like that...

If you want wp to be only the blog switch to classic template.
Copy and save the header.php file codes on your computer
Then delete them, The copy and save all the sidebar codes, save it on your computer then delete them.
Then you have wp blog by itself
And were it says stylesheet you paste your css stylesheet there..

When i say copy and delete that means go in wp .. log in .. go to presentation .. theme editor .. CHANGE THE CLASSIC THEME ONLY!
