Last time I checked, recognizing didnt mean supporting. Here theres people telling me that Im wrong because I said that America RECOGNIZES the holidays of other religions. I never said they SUPPORTED them, but people seem to think that they mean the same thing. Can someone enlighten everybody on the fact that theres a difference? I don't seem to be getting it done.

Its the same difference between knowning and doing something about it.

reconizing is just like you know that there is that particular holiday but you're not doing anything about it. like my school, they know that there's chinese new year but they don't give us a school holiday on during that period of time.

supporting it is like you know it's there and you acutally do something about it, like celebrating that holiday

I made a topic out of it because I wanted to...I do believe thats why we make topics on things in the first place....Anyways, I was bored and I wanted to see what other people thought about it, and if I could cause controversy. Honestly I think it's funny when people get in arguments over the internet like the other person who has no idea who they are is really gonna care 5 minutes later. It brings me joy to see how quick to fight people are nowadays.

Supporting and recognizing, are the same thing in that case. Indifference is not working against it, therefore one must assume that one is for it. It doesn't hinder, it helps by not hindering and therefore a neutral ally. Not an enemy and does not need to be neutralized. Condoning an action is the same as committing that action.

Verbal abuse? Who was I abusing? I don't remember seeing me attacking any specific person, they asked why and I told them. And because nobody likes it when people say stuff without explaining it, I gave a few reasons. Isn't that what is SUPPOSED to happen? Just because it sounded kind of mean doesnt mean I was attacking them, does it? Exactly, no it doesnt.
