my friend has a soompi and on there they sell and trade stuff.
why doesn't createblog start something like that?
racoons > you
explain to me what soompi is.

and what exactly i would sell/trade.

you have failed to grasp my interest
Lightner
i think she meant like points for prizes or something i dunno
mzkandi
I've seen it on other forums, I think would be pretty cool though I doubt cB would ever implicate anything like that.
incoherent
buying and selling of things doesnt really interest the audience we have.

we have younger kids, teenagers, and then those over 20. i dont it would be such a hot success...besides, there's ebay. also, wed need more mods to moderate that and i dont think people would really use this feature.
gelionie
Oh I get it. Like trading points for something, right?

That really reminds me of blogring, so NO please. stubborn.gif
Heathasm
kind of like on vortex mb

i was thinking about this, too. it would be really cool D: i'm all for it if it complies with the rules and the way cb works and every thing
toodlepops.
I'm not really sure of what you're really talking about..so correct me if I'm wrong.

So members post to collect points. These points enable them to sell/trade stuff, right? If it is, wouldn't that mean there's a high possibly of spamming?
Of course, I'm not too sure of this soompi concept.
racoons > you
but... what do we get FOR the points?

like, privaleges and stuff? then no. that just rewards possible spamming.

dont be so silly

Probably because of the age group that mainly comes to createblog. Between the ages of 13-18. Most of them aren't interested in buying and selling on this site. Like incoherent said, "There's Ebay" =)

Maybe we should have Website Template Requests and members need to buy what we make for them. Just a suggestion. whistling.gif

Soompi is a forum for all things K-Pop (Korean pop).

It's different than createBlog...cB would not be able to support this feature because well first off, the whole purpose of this forum was to provide free layouts and skins for people anyway.

It's tricky to sell things online without some "bad" people on who can trick and cheat. It wouldn't be advisable to buy off a forum.

I don't know how the adminstraion on Soompi organize this trading, but I know that their community is much, much larger than createBlog's, so the range of items they can sell is much larger than what we can do on cB.

If you wanna check it out, here's the main Soompi forums page:

And here's the selling/trading forum:

what about sell and trade a free cB t-shirt ? lol
Gigi
^ That's different, we're not selling that on an forum. It's sold on cafepress, by an actual website and company.

I'm not sure the topic starter meant buying and selling with "real" money. I think (s)he meant "createblog money". You can make blends or beautiful web layouts and trade them with cb money. To get the money, you need to post.

Many mbs do that.
Eryi
What she related to uses real money.
My friend sold a bra on soompi for 15 dollars and someone bought it.

that sounds like a neat idea! but it can lead to spam...
sadolakced acid
why not just go play neopets?
SMiLEEFORMEE
hmm maybe i should clear up something. this has nothing to do with points
it has to do with selling and trading real items with real money.
but i see what you mean. createblog is mostly for help with layouts and all that. just an idea to put out there pinch.gif guess it wasnt the best. ahah
