mine is trimed short. -sigh- want an afro.

My hair is straight spiked like a lotta asian dudes. I use Dep, lvl 3 hold, I think. I forget the level of hold, but it's the gel thas yellow colored. Yeah, I use herbal essence and I don't give a f*ck what you think. That shiz is good. My hair was fallin' out cuzza my gel use, but da herbal essence kept my hair strong so now it doesn't fall out.

how long does your hair have to be to spike it

are you asian, vapor? if so you can spike your hair pretty easily due to the fact that asian hair grows out straight most of the time. if you haven't tried it before, start now. using a blow dryer works. heat your hair and make it stiff while it's up for the time being. keep gel in your hair for long periods of time. therefore, when you get out of the shower your hair will stick straight up without the gel =D

preferably half an inch and more is good for spiking hair. i think about 2 inches you DEFINITELY need a haircut. i hate guys with super super long spikey hair. that's just my opinion. personally i think american crew is the best hair gel for guys. it's really hard to put on and really stiffens the hold. get the strongest hold you can get for American Crew. bottles cost like 12 bucks or 20 for the big one. Sometimes I use cheap ass 3 dollar gel cuz it works too. Problem with american crew is.. the gel flakes. so if anyone hits your hair white stuff will come out. I try to find gel that doesn't flake. usually the stuff that leaves your hair looking gooey and shiney does that.

after i grew out my hair, i use mainly manipulator and bedhead stick. both great for your hair when it's short, and both do different things that make the ultimate combination for my hair to look the way it does. you can find these products at your local toni and guy. they're 20 bucks a pop too. it's expensive no doubt, but i get compliments a lot for my hair especially when i wear it longer. makes me all teeheehee girlish and shy. not every guy can have great hair like me. =P

shampoo does matter. depends on what you want your shampoo to do. i used to use pert plus 2n1, but now i use shampoo and a seperate conditioner. they cost a lot of money too. there's shampoo that makes your hairy dry, shiny, volumizing, weigh down, straighten, color care, scalp treatment, oxidize or somethin.., etc.

if u go to toni and guy they'll figure out what type of hair you have and see what's good for you. haircuts there range from 37-57. not including tip.

I gel my hair with Elmo glue. Hard as a rock!! My ahir is about 3/4 in. It's like metal spikes. I can easily break it off and use it as a shuriken.









PS. Kidding about the Elmo glue thing. I use Dep10 and somtimes Physique. Dep10 doesnt flakes and Physique stays up longer.

i use elmers blue school gel glue mixed with hair spray if i need to spike my hair

and i rarley use shampoo. maybe twice a month. i just use what i can find laying around in the shower.

the gel i use is American Crew that shit is the best but costly its worth it though

Just wanted to say... Herbal Essences smells super good (I used to use it), but there's wax in it. So when you use it after a while you get a buildup of wax- not good. If you pull out a strand of hair, in some places it's coated with wax. Yuuucky... xP

But it IS kinda sexy when guy's hair smells good. =9

1) my hair is spiked right now... so i dunno... i'll have to go with spiked hair
i made my hair spiked by using gel... dep 10 (mega hold... i think that's it) and then i used some loreal hairspray over the gel... i hate when people try to touch ur gelled hair and mess it up...

2) dep 10 gel... it workes really well... lasts the whole day unless some person messes it up

3) i use herbal essence... the pink one (smells good and makes my hair feel soft)

omg am i the only asian who doesnt know how to spike his hair? honestly, what i do is i put gel in my hand and just pull it back but then it looks like crap, in the morning i have a freaking afro cause my hair on the top goes up and curves to the front, after i shower or wet it, it sticks straight out and im plannin to grow it out but right now its 2 n a half inches long...that sounds really funny yet sad...

I use wax now. It doesn't flake. But the only draw back is it doesn't shine and doesn't smell as good as gel. It'll hold the hair up just as good as gel.
