But I really like the feeling of getting an unexpected PM from anyone on Createblog. I like to read what people took their time out of their life to write me.

I also like to open emails and read them.

And seeing the "New Friend Request!" or "New Comment!" or "New Message" on Myspace whenever I sign in.

I also like when on Xanga when instead of "Add Comment", it's "1 Comment."

Yeah, I confess. Anyone else like this feeling?

Or are you just plainly confused about what this whole topic is about?

Well I could see how some people wouldn't like the feeling. Like if you have like 10123014098234 friends on Myspace then it wouldn't be a surprise to get new friends. Or if people sends you a PM almost every day, and you have to open like 20 PM's a day about their problems then I wouldn't be excited, I would be pretty pissed.

i really dig it when people IM me first.

I was thinking about that one last night, too.
yummy_delight
Yeah. I like it, too.

I think I might be an attention whore.
silver-rain
Yeah, I like that too. But I too probably am an attention whore.
x____duckii
The real question should be "who doesn't like that feeling?".
lolita kitty
i thought i was the only one.
yeah, the same with me. i check my xanga and myspace frequently, sometimes for that stuff only. and its always [usually] nice things, and it feels good to know people are thinking of me, and whatnot =)
gelionie
Oh, same here.

I refresh my xanga every a few minutes, just to check if anyone has left me comments. I know it's pretty desperate. pinch.gif

I hardly ever get any PMs on cB though. sad.gif
Hiphop d[-_-]b
I feel that way too . I get a little sad when i dont have a new comment or request or message =[
xmkaex
yeah i do the same thing on my xanga too

to me it shows that someone actually cared to read what i wrote on my entry..its a good feeling biggrin.gif
EXPLO5ION
same with me. if i got a myspace, i would have only like 20 friends. cry.gif but i am always open to meeting new people.
Froshy
I agree with you on everything.

ALSO
i really dig it when people IM me first.

and instead of myspace, it's facebook. cool.gif
SandRAWRz

I like that, a lot.
sharerol
YEAH i love that. :]

'New Messages.'I really don't care. Because, 9 times out of 10, its an email from a girl who wants me to go to a party or club with her and have me hold her hair while she prays to porcelain God. Or its some guy who either wants me to help spread the word on their party so its not a sausage fest.

If I see 'reply to your post,' its generally a dumbass response to a post that contained nothing but rhetoric.

'New Comment' generally is a proclamation of, not undying love, but more a neverending declaration of my 'hawtn3sz!'

'New Picture Comment' is something along the lines of how some girl wants to have my babies.

'New Blog Comment' means that someone takes a jab at giving me advice or figuring me out after reading a poem.

Maybe I'm not an attention whore like the majority of the people on MySpace (particularly the kids that shouldn't be on there to begin with), or maybe I desire a more sincere form of attention. Whatever the case is, I could relate to you... 3 years ago.
ANG33ZY
Of course I like it. It makes me feel loved.
Gigi
The feeling is awesome. It's part of why I'm so addicted to Xanga in the first place. =]
misoshiru
^hahah same here. it's like an egoboost.
stephinika
^^
it totally is haha, i completely agree with everything you said. rolleyes.gif its so...little, yet it feels so good.
Heathasm
yeah i do...but it doesnt happen very often...

usually if i com into cb and i have a message it is a report :(....
suddenly she
i LOVE that.
it's not really the whole xanga thing, it's just mainly aim and email.
i'm stuck on email most of the time when i'm online.
i go insanely happy whenever josh/jaclyn emails me back. but i'm just kind of.. like that.

and then on away messages on aim, there is no better feeling than checking your messages when you're exhausted and about to throw something at someone and seeing 316 im's from the same person. throb.gif

okay, i'll stop now.
OhXiet_ItzDonnA
Yeah, I like that feeling too.

It's like on your xanga, you're glad to hear that someone's interested in what you said in your entry or they just like your page. Like when I made a new entry, I already got like 10 eprops from 5 different people. Yeah, it's a good feeling. rolleyes.gif

And on Bebo, I liked seeing those friend's request even tho I dont know them. whistling.gif I still let them add me and I'll add them. And seeing new emails everyday. It's like non-stop conversation. haha
Mulder
wow.

well. thats me.
AtLxKeLvInx
Well, everybody likes to be noticed.
It makes you feel important.

And like, on xanga, you can kind of "play" with posts.

What kind of posts generate people to give more comments?
What kind of posts receive little comments?

It's fun to see and experiment.

With a certain tone of surprise and/or anxiety.
jooleeah
Haha. It gives you a good feeling inside =] I looooveeee unexpected pm's.
mzkandi
Yeah they all give me a warm fuzzy feeling.
BrokenDream
I love that feeling. it warms my heart sometimes and it goes cold, lol. on xanga, createblog, or YIM.
toodlepops.
Of course, it makes feel loved.
incoherent
i used to like the feeling back when i used xanga and that was all, but now it just seems like it has faded. i really like when i get the red box at the top of cB with a new p/m in it.
Endless_Love <3
OMG I love that feeling! I used to (when i had my xanga layout site open) go through ALL the tester layouts just to see if I had comments on any of them! I never did, but at least I was hopeful!
[Filp]Essence
id never expect that to happen, or i derno.
xTINAA
Yesss
I feel exactly the same way!!
Tainted Euphoria
I feel the same/ I guess I'm a comment whore that way. biggrin.gif
