I sortakinda made my own... it uses an iframe, and then the pictures just open up into it. If you go to my site [http://unwritten.ill-wed.com] [no, not advertising, trying to help!!] you can see how it works (go to the gallery)

^i sorta did what you did. except mine doesnt open up into an iframe, since i use php includes. it just opens up in a new window.
