i have no freakin idea y so many ppl r against the death sentence... is it cruel?? is it unethical?? in that case.. is locking them up in a small cell with virtually no freedom and no life considered ethical? the government needs to find ways right now to get rid of the debt problem right now. keeping men or women locked up for the rest of his or her life is pretty much useless and very costy. so y keep them alive?

considering that the current system is to convict the innocent rather than acquit the guilty, there are many innocent people in prison. people may be killed by the death sentence who are not guilty.

besides that, there was this one case about 20 years ago, where the mother wanted to know where her daughter had been buried... and they killed the guy before they found out that he was her killer. the mother never got to bury her daughter.

i think theres already a topic about this.

most people who are being locked up are drug offenders. if you want to criticize the wasting of government money, criticize the war on drugs. killing anyone is unethical. even if it is to write a wrong.

besides, wouldn't you think getting EFFed in the AY every night for a few years then being rereleased into society is far more punishing than dying? i sure do. dying's the end of all your troubles. i've seen american history X. i can honestly say i never want stitched in my anus. swear to god.
