lost = not talking/hanging out with them as much as you used to

[i tried searching for a topic like this .. like 5 variations of " lost any friends " any i always got like 20+ pages]


i've lost soooooooooo many friends because they change so much . all they do is smoke and drink and it's dumb .. i can't hang w/ them anymore without them talking about smoking . and most of them bad attitudes . they talk all conceited & if you joke about them just a little they'll be like " SHUT THE HELL UP " . so that got real annoying and switched friends .

by the way i don't smoke or drink .. so that's why i didn't feel so comfortable around them .

yeah i know how you feel...these two girls and me used to be really close since we were young but they started drinking and they were "too cool" for me so we really don't talk much anymore

I used to be really close to a girl named Tracy in 8th grade. We were best friends. I don't know, we sort of drifted apart but it was partly my fault. I still love her to bits today, although we don't hang out together we're still friends.

I lost some of my friends because they moved. And it sucks. We was some very good friends when we was in school but one of them had to move because she ran away for 2 weeks or so and she had to go live with her mom (before she lived with her aunt). And the other one moved like an hour away from here. But both of my best friends and me, we still keep in touch. By phone or email. Gaw, I missed them so much.

I've lost more friends than I can count. I've moved 10 times in my 16 years of living, so yeah. Moving is the main cause.

Death is the other. I've lost 5 friends to various causes...my friend swifty died yesterday...driveby..

I keep my friends close.

Yeah, I lost a lot of friends over the years. Sometimes it would be because we went to different high school, or were in different classes and just lost touch. But, with this being my last year in high school, I'm trying to renew and strengthen my friendships.

I mostly lose friends because they go to different schools. =(

There's a difference between SAYING you'll do something and actually doing it. I've lost a lot of respect for them because they've become so easy.

Yeah, sure. I've lost tons of friends. But it's really no big deal, because some of them were volunteery, some I just didn't mind. I don't regret not being friends with most people I'm not anymore.

Yeah...I've lost a few friends since graduation, mostly because they spend their lives working, while I'm at college. It kinda sucks.

Yeah...I have some friends who are like that. I don't smoke. I'm not planning on it. And I just don't hang aroudn them when they do that stuff. I don't know, I don't really mind drinking so much. I'll do that with friends, but I know my limits and what I'm willing--and not willing to do...I'll sitll be their friends, just not when they are all messed up.

all the friends i've lost have been because they wanted to go into the 'popular' crowd and start being all... uggh. but yes i've lost friends.

I never lost a friend because of a fight.. i just lost contact with them :( it stinks, but i dont really really care, since i have made a lot of other friends

i think your friends need people like you though..

i used to hang around druggies but never did any drugs, then i eventually got sick of them and dumped them. i still see them once a while, and when we do hang out, i feel pretty bad that they are still the same. i felt like i could've helped change them, and stop their bad habits.


but yeah people come and go. i wouldn't say i lost them, they just turn into aquaintances.

Yes, that's how I lost many of my friends.
My old friends are now with the popular group, and ignore each other...

A lot of people i know smoke & drink but i just let them know not to do it around me and not to try to drag me into it.

There is one friend in particulare that i actually lost to it. She was taken away to a mental hospital in 7 grade. We were best friends. I was really hurt that even after she told me she quit, she lied. She got out a week later and things were never the same. We drifted apart she got into harder drugs bigger drinking and sex. We were still friends but eventually she moved away. I miss her a lot. We were inspereable.

I've lost quite a few of my closest friends. Most of them went with other crowds. We still say hello if we see eachother sometimes but other than that...the rest is history.
