It's not my second language though, since my mother tongue is Cantonese and my second language is... English.

It was too late for me to start taking French last year. Boo @ school.

I took Spanish and Latin for two years each in NY. 'Twas fun; I had 90s or a 100 in those classes. :D

This is my... 4th year of Spanish.

i take japanese. right now, i'm in japanese 2. our school goes up to japanese 5 but that's just for the ones that have already gone to japanese school or know it already or something like that. :P

J'etudie le francais a l'ecole depuis trois ans, et je l'adore beaucoup, particulierement la culture francaise. Mais maintenant, je ne parle qu'un tres petit peu de francais...et ma grammaire est horrible! Dans l'ecole, nous etudions beaucoup beaucoup de vocabulaire, mais, ou est la grammaire dans nos lecons?!

Et je suis des Etats Unis. Je veux aller a Canada pour communiquer avec des etudiants qui parlent facilement le francais. Pourquoi est-ce que les etudiants de la programme er... [immersion] sont des problemes pour toi? C'est une bonne opportunite pour ameliorer ton francais.

Et aussi, je parle le chinois. Je desire que j'aille etudier l'[arabic] a l'avenir.

I take Spanish II right now, it's required to graduate that you have 2 credits of a foreign language. It's really fun, I have the best spanish teacher I think there is. She really gets into it, she does speack in all spanish, but she makes it easy to understand. I don't know what the rest of those things are, so I don't think we do them.

What about Canada?

I really wish I took French instead of Latin. =(

I took Spanish all through middle school and highschool.
And sadly I don't remember too much of it now.

I took french from grade 1 until grade 9.
I despised it. I passed french & declined to take it in grade 10 & above.
Also could have taken Spanish, but that seemed to complicated for meh.
I have trouble with english, let alone French or Spanish. =P

Japanese and Spanish

I take Japanese.
I was surprised because it's reallllyyy easy too.

Well, my school is named German Swiss International School.

So - surprise, surprise - everyone starts learning German in Year Two. That's around six or seven years old.

Then, you may choose French or Mandarin when you enter Year Seven. That's when you're around eleven.

I take IB German. I already speak it, because my father's German, but it's still kind of hard learning proper grammar and stuff, 'cause I speak ghetto Rheinland-Pfalz German. My IB oral was last week.

Yo hablo espanol. I can speak like 3rd grader english in spanish. Blah, i have a stupid state exam in about a month, so I'm suposed to be knowing everything....=/, heres to hoping

Spanish 2. In my freshman year, I will be taking 3.

I'm in my second year of German. It's a fairly easy language to learn if you ask me, since it's so similar to English.
I speak and understand Chinese, too.
And I know like, words and phrases from various languages (Spanish, French, Korean, Japanese, Polish, Russian, Vietnamese) but I'm totally not fluent.

Our second language is Welsh in school .. gah and you can't drop it so your stuck taking it 5 years .. we also have Spanish and French.

I want to get a tutor so I can learn more languages lol, I speak Thai pretty well .. my reading is sorta alright but being half Thai I'm expected to be able to speak it but I seriously want to learn Japanese lol, I have learnt a little but still a long way to go =D

i might take A.P spanish but i heard its boring n its actually easier than the SSS class.

From Kindergarten to 8th grade, I've had to Spanish class. I didn't really learn anything, considering the only good teacher I had was when I was younger (and I have forgotten over the years things other than the basics).

Now in high school, I take French because I definitely don't want to take Spanish anymore.
... And I envy all you German-learning students. If my school had languages other than French or Spanish, I would have so taken German.

The only foreign language we have is Spanish.



Scratch that, we also have Sign Language, but not enough people have ever signed up for it.

I'll be taking Spanish when i go to highschool.

I'm finishing this school year with French II H, and when I took it last year (French I), I wasn't fluent at all. French was (and pretty much still is) a new language to me.

Next year I'll still take it (French III H).

If they were offering Japanese like they said they would during my freshman year, then I would have been taking that though. Gah.

I'm currently taking French III this trimester, but last trimester I was in Spanish III. I love the art of the tongue.

I'm taking Spanish right now, and next year I'm going to also take Latin. We also have French and German offered at my school.

I'm also interested in Italian, but since the school doesn't offer that language, maybe I'll get one of those computer programs. Someone is teaching themselves Japanese through one of those.

Actually, I'm going to take Latin in two years. I'm going to teach myself Italian next year along with Spanish at school, and I thought that learning three languages at once was a little much.

The only other languages (besides English) my school offers are Spanish and French. ((That shows how small of a school I go to))

I'll be taking French 1 & 2 next year.

I already have Spanish down pat so didn't have to take it but I took French since grade 1 and I stopped in grade 10. So I'm okay.

we dont have ap or ib for anything. we have college prep for some stuff...

my school sucks.

anyway, i'm in french II and i cannot speak at all fluently. i blame my teacher and short term memory.

My school offers Spanish, French, German, Chinese, Japanese, ASL, Latin, and Arabic. There's also a demand for Hindi, but that's not a course (yet.) x]

But I'm taking Spanish 2 next year.

My school has Spanish, French,German, Latin, Japanese (currently taking), and next year were getting russian and italian

Japanese is a pretty useful language; I wish I had more time to study that. I wouldn't mind visiting (possibly even working in) Japan someday.
