<!-- begin code provided by createblog.com --><br />There is something fishy going on, and it may just equate to Ness being seen in a new game outside of the Smash Bros. franchise. 4color rebellion and Press the Buttons have pieced together a series of clues on the Internet and have come to the conclusion that Earthbound 3 may be in development for the Nintendo DS right now. Here are all the clues so far:<br /><br />    * Earthbound/Mother creator Shigesato Itoi, in an interview, said that he was at Kichijoji working on a secret game he only called “it.”<br />    * Brownie Brown Games is located at Kichijoji.<br />    * Brownie Brown has also released a flash movie about “Project B” (english translation) which is very much in the style of the old Mother games.<br /><br />And more still…<br /><br />    * No relation to Brownie Brown, exactly, but developer Marvelous has opened up a page for an unannounced Nintendo DS game. The page is a countdown (with 67 hours to go as of this writing) and a cartoon professor pushing buttons.<br />    * DS-x2 has decompiled the flash animation countdown timer and has discovered a picture of the professor turned around, who looks conspicuously like Dr. Andonuts from Earthbound.<br />    * They also found animation of rocks. The Mother series is known for talking rocks.<br /><br />Do all these pieces add up to anything? Probably not, but the clues here are very abundant. Regardless, Brownie Brown is in the process of making some super secret video game likely in the vein of Earthbound, and Marvelous is developing a new Nintendo DS game that may or may not be announced in the middle of the week. Ohhh, this is juicy. This would be so awesome if true. The rumor floating around is that Earthbound 3 is secretly in production at Brownie Brown in Japan.

It all started when Brownie Brown released a Flash movie regarding their new project. It has a certain Earthbound vibe to it. Also, Itoi, the man behind the Earthbound series, says that he is currently holed up in Kichijoji to get ‘it’ done. Kichijoji, coincidentally, just happens to be where Brownie Brown is located.

There are even more connections to be made. Check out these links and see what you think. This is still just a rumor and nothing is confirmed, but I know many people, including myself, are keeping our figures crossed.

Ohh, I can't wait to see what it comes out tp be. Keep em crossed for earthbound.

Also, please fix the title. it supposed to be earthbound. not however way I spelled it.

I don't even have a DS or anything, But im hoping all the same. I can't imagine how syked YOU were when you heard this, or if it comes true.

A lot of people didn't. The people I know that didn't like the game thought it was too weird.

Most of these people play Final Fantasy and believe that RPGs have to be about a party of people wielding swords and killing monsters. Earthbound was very different in that it featured a boy who had to deal with everyday problems. I absolutely loved it for this reason.

If you think about it, Earthbound is a lot more "normal" than Final Fantasy.

Interesting. I always thought Kryogenix would be the first one to make this topic.

Anyway... I never got my hands on Earthbound. Seems interesting though.
