(how do you create a poll???) I was just wondering how many of you never had a boyfriend or girlfriend before.. I'm 19 and I never had girlfriend before and I don't think I'll be able to find one until I'm 22 or something =[

Don't feel bad, man, at your age, it's probably best not to be tied down. I've dated some girls from time to time, but I've never really seen anyone seriously enough to consider one a "girlfriend". Mostly I guess that's because I was shy when I was in middle school, and in high school (and now) I didn't have the time or the inclination. I really prefer my independence, and now I find that my life is stressful enough without one other person or a relationship to worry about.

They key is to just not stress about it. Stress makes you worry, and worrying makes you overthink the situation, or try to create something that's not there. As cliche as it is, if you find a girl you like, just talk to her, but most importantly, be yourself. If things don't seem comfortable, walk away, meet someone else. Most importantly, remember that you won't find anyone if you're mopy or whiny or bitter about the situation. (Not saying you are, but just warning about becoming that way.) You'll only find someone if you're satisfied with yourself and your own life. Another key: know who you are. You can't expect people to get to know you if you don't even know yourself.

Why are you stressing over the fact that you don't have a girlfriend? Enjoy being single! Being involved in a relationship isn't all that it's made out to be...relations are complicated, and you can get hurt in the process. Being single doesn't bind you to anything, and you're pretty much free to do whatever you please. Having a boyfriend/girlfriend can be a distraction and it is very time consuming.

To answer your question, yes, I've had a boyfriend before, but that was probably about the dumbest thing I've done, and up to this day, I'd rather not have gone through the whole experience then to have gone through it. That was when I was 16, and I never really considered that to be a real boyfriend/girlfriend relationship anyway. My grades dropped because of that, and after we broke up, I was down for a fairly long time...and I'd rather not know what having a boyfriend was like if I was going to have my heart ripped to shreds.

The right girl will come for you eventually, and meanwhile, just be yourself, and wait. You can also increase your chances by hanging out with girls more often and talking to them. But remember, if you rush it, it will not work out, and I know because that was what happened to me and my ex.

*sighs* I'm 13, and I was asked out [at age 11.. kinda young]. I said no. I told him that my parents didn't want me dating that young. Which they really didn't.. i am still not dating.. but i find that its going to be hard to tell my parents about my first date. They are so over portective. -_-'

I care about my cB friends a lot. That leads me to being extremely suspicious of this samsam character. I feel this person is probably lying, and is a eLiar internet user. Reasons for suspicion:

Posts: Many of his posts revolve around not having a girlfriend and/or not having sex. I've copied the ones that are directly linked to that. There are even more that send the message more subliminally. I feel this is to get people to pity him and get close to him. Also, if you see, some of the posts tell how he's been going out for 3 years, and when it ended, he cried for a week. Obvious lies, on the same days that he posted that he never had a girlfriend.

Profile picture: Its a heart. I find this suspicious for the same reason as the posts, I think its a lie to get girls to get close to him.

I feel he is out to lie to us. I may definitely be wrong, but its important I share my suspicion with you all.

I've had 3 relationships, starting from 9th grade (I'm in college now). Ever since highschool, I haven't had to be single for long (6 months most). I don't just date anyone, all my relationships have been over one year and I spent a lot of time and energy into them. I've been hurt twice, the last one badly, but I still prefer to be in a relationship rather than being single. I don't understand people who shy away from relationships because they're afraid of getting hurt. It's all part of the game, you have to lose some in order to win some.
