for some reason my computer stopped recognizing .asf song files. does anyone know what i can do to fix it?... i can't hear songs from this website...

Firefox just doesn't recognize them at all.
And you need Windows Media Pler to reconize the file type at all.

i have explorer though... i also have windows media player and have the options set to recognize .asf songs. : /

And so, check to make sure that your speakers are on, that their code works, and that you have a sound card installed.

this is the message that comes up... "The source filter for this file could not be loaded.".... :/

i had this problem before.. usually when u try to play a ASF and error windows comes up.. click on the links it gives u and ur gonna be somewhere in microsoft.com and then u'll eventualy download some old file (i think its a win98 file) and just download it and install.. bam!

i tried using the help topics section by clicking "more details" when the error window popped up and it took me to web help where i got this message...
"Windows Media Player Error Message Help
You've encountered error message 80040241 while using Windows Media Player. We are investigating the cause of this error. We will post more information about this error when it becomes available."
i don't know what happened to my computer. but i think it's probably some kind of virus because the same thing happened to my friend... for some reason her computer stopped playing certain media types.
does anyone know if there's anything else i could do?
