do any of you watch degrassi? and do you like it. it's my FAVORITE show. so much drama. but it's like a real show. and i like how they don't end it all oh yes everything went perfect, and like how sometimes things actually go wrong. not a lot of shows are real like that. i dunno whaddyathink?

I love that show! When I first saw the previews to the show, I thought it was gonna be dumb, but I watched one episode, and ended up being hooked. The storylines are really good, and something people our age can really relate to.

Yes and no. I know lots of people who have done the things that happen on Degrassi, but I know many that haven't. It really depends on the type of person that girl is, ya know?

In others, possibly. But some of the drama is a little way over the line ;/ but itsd still cool to watch so yayyzzerzz.

I think they're a bit over the top--which is what makes the show so very entertaining.

I often kind of wish they were like that in real life, though.

the show is meant to relate with real life. i guess some things go with what happens...but others not really. depends on the school people etc.

To reply to your question, I guess it might depend upon where you live and what your school's like.

However, I think it's a bit overdone at times, but not always. A lot of that is really realistic.... like the abusive relationship, the cheating (in relationships), unprotected sexual acts, cutting, etc. A lot of it's very realistic and well done, but some of it is exaggerated a bit, though I wouldn't say it is really over-the-top.

Degrassi > Laguna Beach.

Sometimes I think the show is bit exaggerated, but then other times, I don't think they really capture the malice that high school girls seem to have against one another.

In my opinion, i think that degrassi is not exaggerated.. Its trying to attack issues that few kids actually have the courage to talk to others about... [This is a great way of helping them.] Issues such as rape, violence, homosexuality, acceptance, etc. can lead to suicides and im sure that the suicide rates have lowered thanks to this show and others like it.

Laguna Beach is garbage. Things didn't happen like that when I was in high school. If I catch you running your mouth about me, then we were engaging in fisticuffs. End of story. None of this 'pretend-to-be-your-friend' nonsense.

And it is exaggerated. C'mon now, people that are bipolar don't neccesarily behave like Craig did when Ashley didn't want to marry him (Oh yes, I watches Degrassi).

Yeah underage (lol) sex and abuse of drugs happen a lot in middle schools and high schools. For example, when I took the bus home, my bus driver who is a woman drove to this random house which we really never pass by and picked up this senior that looked like she's been from whore town. then they were fighting in spanish and the girl screamed, "CUZ I THOUGHT I WAS PREGNANT"

that show is so f**king amazing!!! the first episode of the new season was awesome. i'm looking forward to other ones. ellie is my fave character. she's so non-drama and cool.
