Like it or not?
If yes, what kinds do you like?
My favourites are:
Punk Lolita, Gothic Lolita, and Elegant Gothic Lolita.
And no, I am not talking about the type of Lolita that is an,
"A seductive adolescent girl."
A not-so-old-but-kind-of Japanese style.

We Americans messed it up, though.

Paradox of Life

i <3 lolitas. they're so cute.

edit:// heres a few. these just look like maid outfits, but that's what some lolitas are...

Er...
Not necissarily, not all Lolita is "very poofy, frilly, lacy, etc. lots of layers. usually dresses or skirts, etc. they wear alot of fishnets and stripes, and stockings, and stuff."
You have to be very specific about what kind.
Most of them aren't even like those.
And which kind of Lolita are those pictures?

Gigi
I personally think it's a horror to fashion, but I respect that these people have such a strong sense of their own personal style.

i just got those pictures online. i dunno what they are.
and i didn't say that's what all lolitas are. i was just trying to give a minor description so people wouldn't fill your topic with "what's thaat?"

Lolita looks cute but looks completely immature when someone wears it for casualwear.
Aoiro
At least say that.
If you don't know what they are, point being?
And even if people don't know and ask "what is it?"
They can learn something new and find out by themselves.

peggystur: Indeed it does.
It's nice if it's a "spur of the moment" thing.
But it's completely fine in Japan.
That's where it originated from anyway.

its always wierd to walk around the city and seeing a girl in 'princess dress' or 'maiden's dress'. it'll be even wierder if that person was over 25.
mishyerr
I like gothic lolita. <3

xcaitlinx

Aoiro
Nopperz, not a costume for Halloween.
If it were, that would be an insult to the Japanese...
It's a type of style in Japan.
Much wrn over there than here.

steezahh
never heard of it. have no clue what you are talking about either!

^ PLEASE REFER TO THE PICTURES POSTED ABOVE.

I've seen people dressed as lolita style on the streets before, but still, I can't accept this kind of fashion. I think people are being really immature to bring their fairy-tale fantasties into reality.
bonluvdan

FLIPxADDICTION
It seems more of a Halloween get up for me.
But to wear something like that everyday in America? no thanks.
yuna*
last time on tv I saw it's starting to become a trend in Hong Kong. There was this show that interviewed these girls age around 17? who wear lolita. They say they wanted to feel like a "princess" in these dresses. Personally I don't think lolita look that bad. I like the lolita design. _smile.gif Hey most of you might despise the lolita design, but you have to respect the fact it's a fasion statement for people in Japan and the ones who invented lolita..Beside it's not like we see people wear lolita in America anyways, no need to diss lolita so badly here..
aznxdreamer
i like lolita. its so pretty and elegant ^_^ i can understand why people would hate it because its somewhat "creepY" but yeah, i love lolita. i would totaly wear lolita to school everyday.
annalucky
I like it. Makes you stand out. haha. I wouldn't wear it EVERYDAY, I feel uncomfortable when people stare. =| Just when I want to uhh...dress up and have people look me like I'm crazy. =]

thank you. Thats the first time I've laughed out loud all day.

I think in Japan, everything is okay. However, I wouldn't be caught dead in one in America, because Americans are meeeeeen.

nopattern
Eh, not my style. But whatever floats your boat.
xcaitlinx
people SERIOUSLY wear that? i've never seen a person wearing lolita. thank god, although i'd get quite a few laughs if i did see someone wearing it.
