I don't think so. Unless you personally know the perons ip. Plus alot of people don't want you to know who they are its not exactly safe. I wouldn't really worry about it and all. Especially since you wouldn't/shouldn't want anyone to know yours. Its not you know like .. really safe and all. So really i don't think you can with xanga.

If you go here, you can do a Reverse DNS Lookup to get the hostname, service provider, and rough geographic location (of the service provider, at least), of a visitor.

there are certain programs that integrate with xanga,myspace,blogger...etc... that allow you to track numerous ip addresses throughout the internet....although i will not disclose what these programs are in this public forum if you send a personal message my way.. i should be able to give you further information.

Pm me the ip adress and i'll show you where he/she could be on a global map, if its not a proxy or anykind of spoofed ip address and you have a good reason you can findout more about the person just calling their ISP:) (just an idea) since all you will findout is a "possible" location and more info about their ISP and not any personal infos.

How are you going to find out more about the person? I highly doubt the ISP is going to give out personal info on one of their customers.

They can give you hints, if their Policy doesnt allow to disclose any personal personal info's like name, address, phone etc. and that's enuff, but you really need a good reason, and the ISP do giveout personal informations of their costumers, if Police is involved and if the person has done any e-crimes.

I already said you can't get any relevant info's about the real person who is behind that ip address over the Net nor even from ISP so doh. So since Xanga is not NSA i bet you can't get any personal info's. And by looking over your username database to see who else used that ip address to login into his account, its only a predictable point of view, since it could happen that those 2 persons to use an Internet Caffe or any other public access to an computer like library/school and others. So no, not even that could help to provide any RELEVANT proofs that is the same person.
So as short answer No, Xanga can't do`it.
All you will be able to findout about that person is a hint where it could be over the Globe by his ISP location (if it is real ip address and its not proxy/spoofed or wireless or under AOL software/services (dont ask, long story))

Is CB located there? I dont want to guess, that's only CB's Hosting Company Location. (Since is a domain involved some rigistrars allows to see the owner of the domain and some personal info's but that doesnt apply for IP Addresses .)

Uh, yeah, they give out the information to the police--not just any person.

What exactly consitutes "stalking a webpage"? Webpages are available to the public; if you publish a webpage to the public and someone visits it often, they have a right to do so--it's hardly stalking.

it was a figure of speech, its so hard to understand?doh

I just found out that an intrusion attempt was blocked by somebody at Time Warner who handles my server. What's up with that? Isn't monitoring people's internet use and invasion of their privacy????
