i watched advent children...buut there weren't any subtitles, even though the file said 'japanese with eng subs'... so i couldn't understand a thing...

soo can some1 explain, that how come 'u know who' suddenly changed into 'u no who' and then 'u know who' died, when 'u no who' came oout of his body?

When i saw the trailers, i thought advent children was gonna be great. After watching it... it's still great but not as great as i thought it would be...is it just me or does anyone else think that too?
Also is it just me again.... or did cloud look super pale in ad? He didn't look like the pics from the wallpapers.

Yeah but it was weird. It was Omnislash, but it didn;t feel like it. I personally didn't like it, because it didn't have enough slashes. Omnislash is supposed to be 15 hits or more or something like that. All the people who saw it that I know are all, "oMG !!11lol! iT WaS SoOOoOoOoOoOoOoo aMaZiNg LoL!"

Then I go, what was so amazing about it except that it was good graphics? He only did 4 hits.

Also, he does 2 other limit breaks. The one attack i forgot, where he does one slash, but he hits the person 3 times.

Then he does the Rough Divide looking thing.

^ Hehe its called braver =P. the 3 slash thing. but he misses and it wasen't quite braver because he did a flip kind of thing but w.e =P. The modified omnislash thing slashed sephiroth 6-7 times if I remenber. I watched it like over and over to figure out wtheck that move was.. But this recreation was awesome how they made it...



*Sw33ties I have no clue what you mean by that... but if your referring to what happened with kadaj. It was because he is a spirit and he was sort of cloned out of "you know who" anyways. If you watched the english they explain it to you. That Kadaj is nothing but a cacoon for the cells of "You know who" And when he combined with Jenova which "you know who" is made out of.. BOOM he came out.. ANyways hope thats clears up some stuff for you. And the movie was great. I got everything I was hoping for so I was satisfied

What're you talking about?... What version of AC do you have? I have the eng subs.

There shouldn't be any English dubs out right now. So far I've seen two versions. My friend got it on a DVD and it came with a menu and everything and a bunch of subtitle options. Another friend of mine has the avi file on his computer and it also came with english sub, no options. Just dl another version and watch it, there's a bunch out there now.

Personally I wasn't that impressed with the movie, there wasn't anything new. Square just slapped together a bunch of old FF7 stuff (and made it look really cool) around a single new idea and call it a movie knowing that all the fans will flock to it. It was just eyecandy to see the characters in good CG but that was about it.

Hehe sw33ties.. Did you play the game before you watched the movie? Sephiroth was created by using Jenova cells in a experiment. That is why he is related to jenova... and if you actually download the subbed version you will understand why kadaj became sephiroth.. heres just a brief something:

Kadaj is a spirit which are considered clones. Another person with geostigma and considered his Kaasan Jenova... He is like a cacoon that will turn into sephiroth one day and when he actually has hold of jenova's head and he uses it. He becomes sephiroth. Jenova cells created sephiroth so thats how sephiroth was brought out.


*Freecandies = Yeah but you also have to know that the script writers for FFVII and AC were actually two different script writers. So I was pretty impressed with the persons ability to actually keep the story line on track with the game. Also yeah I was impressed with the CG. But there are people who aren't fans that just watch it for the sake of the graphics when they don't understand a thing =P.

For some reason your comment makes mine more true. If they're different writers then I'd have to expect them to come up with more original stuff, right? I'm not going to be impressed with their ability to stick to a storyline that they haven't done because that's part of their job and that's what they're paid to do. I'm just not impressed overall that Square pushed this movie down the cliche path that's all.

Yeah I'm not going against you or anything because many people actually said the same thing. Just that to me for a different writer to actually keep the storyline as similar as it was, was great for me.

well, the file name said that it was japanese with eng subs. i got it from boxtorrents... where i get all my other stuff from...and subs work on my pc... i mean.. i watch inuyasha with subs...

^ Hmmm Icic.. I know which one you downloaded.. You downloaded the one where the sub files comes seperatly.. not actually embedded into the file..

Ahh ok ok. Go download BSPLAYER and you'll be able to watch it with subtitles. Because bsplayer opens the subtitle file for you as well.. And if you get a error. Just restart your comp and try again and it should work.

it was pretty good. though the fight scenes were cool, there was no magic at all. like you wont see them cast a firaga or a thundara. no magic except for little energy balls like from DBZ. that dissapointed me. Also, you don't see chocobo. The movie was fast paced and the battles were amazing. But there is only one summon and that summon was for the bad guys. Yep, so all in all the movie was good, but it didn't have any of the game elements. I like the music in the movie because it's all piano-ized. So that's good.

Ok. So I think the 3 white haired guys are clones of Sephiroth. They are perfect clones of him though, not like cloud and failed clone. I don't know why they werent in the game, probably cloned after sephiroth got beat by cloud. So i think the 3 of them were trying to find "mother" so they can start the reunion. The reunion is bringing back sephiroth and jenova to take over the planet. They succeeded in the reunion, but cloud stopped it before it went too far. And that's all i really understand. kind of complicated.

Ric3 it is actually bahamut they are fighting. If you watch the movie they call it bahamut.. Its just that they changed it and modified how it looks. To me it looks more like ultima weapon from the back. and has FFX bahamut characteristics.

HAve you seen the special edition box thats in Japan? Whew, you can pre-order it on Lik-sang for 329 I think. It's crazy, almost every type of AC memorabilia that you could want. I want one, but I don't feel like just spending that much money. Even thought you do get alot of stuff and it's awesome.

I especially want the Advent Children ring. Does that come with the Advent Pieces box? Erm ok. Well, after watching the movie about eight or nine times, I think that it lacked plot the most and I guess showed too much screen time for Cloud and not the others. Ok, I'm starting a rant aren't I?

Anyways, I really give this movie a thumbs up. More eyecandy than story so people who didn't play the game, (like me but read a freakishly huge story analysis) can watch it without being confused so much.

Hehe one reason the movie revolves around cloud a lot because hes the main character of the movie. Hes basically connected with the story plot on everything =P.
