Have any of you guys seen Escaflowne the movie ?
I watched it the other day and I felt reeeeeeeeeaallly sad at the ending.

Anybody anybody ?

I have it, but I've never really gotten around to see it. I should put it on my to-do list..but I hate sad endings. ='[

My cousin and I LOVE escaflowne!! She got the whole season AND the movie and we watch it all the time!! The movie was sad. I wished Hitomi and Vaughn got together though

It came on last night on Toonami...
I couldn't watch it, but I recorded it.
Was it good?

This movie actually had a whole different thing than the anime series itself. But the movie was actually good. The part I didn't like was when his mecha actually took the blood from his shoulder area. Was really bloody and looked cool =P. Anyways it was awesome. Loved the fighting scenes and yeah. It was overall good =P.

I loved the art and stuff, but I hated how they had to make everything so much shorter because it was only a movie...

That ending IS really sad...

Isn't there two movies?

i watched one of them with some friends...and it was utterly confusing. I'm not sure which one we watched though. But at the end we all just kinda sat and stared at the screen a good while. I wish i knew the movie title then I could get some help.

I only know of one Escaflowne movie. I actually saw the movie before I had seen the movie before I had seen the series and it was rather easy to catch onto what was happening. But the one thing I don't like about movies is they shorten them and cut things out.

I'd much perfer the series. The artwork is just too different in the movie than in the series and I perfer the art in the series more. I like all the blood and stuff int he movie, but series is better, hands down. Which is how it seems to be with all anime like that; too me anyways.

2 movies? I think your talking about Evangelion because that had 2 movies and those 2 movies left me in a o.O state. One is called "The End of Evangelion" and the other one is called " Death and Rebirth " so yeah I think you getting confused with evangelion and escaflowne =P.


I think the series was also awesome too =P. The movie was a bit different from what I expected because it sort of made its own story different from the series... -__-

the ending left me a bit... desolate, incomplete.

i love how everything is soooo detailed though. the artwork, though different from what i'm used to in the anime, is wonderful.

One of the best anime movies. Van is so awesome. He holds his sword in a strange way but its awesome.

I actually would have to disagree. I don't think it is one of the best movies. There's nothing all that great about it except for maybe the fighting a bit, but that's about it. There's nothing hugely great making it better than other movies or one of the best movies out there.

Escaflowne was actually one of my favorite anime movies. I saw it a looooong time ago, but yeah. It was awesome.

oh, if anybody is not familiar with escaflowne, i would recomend to see the mvoie before the series... i did the series first and the movie was a disapointemtn afterards

escaflowne was so hot!!!!!!!!!!!!! van looked hotter though in the series ( it showed in animax) he's wardrobr in the movie was so crappy. allan on the other hand looked hotter in the movie and so did malerna . it's just too bad that in the series hitomi didn't get to stay with van!!!!!!!!!!!!

i taped it from adult swim and LOVED IT!!!!! it was so good. so there is an anime, i was kinda wondering about that. does anyone know, does netflix have animes? i was wondering if anything like that did, itd be good to get it than . i so loved the movie . seriously(as if it isnt obvious already.....some times i scare myself). lol.
