I was thinking of getting a tattoo and i wanted to know what guys think of getting a tattoo on your lower back area...just wanna know...because i never seen a guy with one...so yeah just wondering

A guy friend of mine has a tat in his lower back area and it looks great. I agree with you though, that I dont see see very many males with a tat in that area.

I've seen tons of guys with tattoes on their lower backs! I think its okay.many guys get t on there arms =S

If you're going to be hardcore, get it on your wrist.

uh..most guys (at my school) get them on their arm, their chest...like on the boob-type-thing (i can't think of what that muscle is called...)

but i'm sure it would look fine.

naw i dont want nothing to show when im wearing polo's or anything, but when i go swimming or to the beach i want it to show and i always liked the lower back area for tats...

And you have to have the right type of body for a tribal on the lower back. For example, many tattoos will make your body seem more femenine (the illusion of curves).

Find the tattoo you want and show us.

Personally, I think tribal tattoo's are so overrated and corny. They used to be good, but now everyone has one. Besides that, this is something permanent in your life. Don't think one day your going to get it for fun because you will regret it. Get something that means a lot to you. I'm planning to get one on my lower back that has my god sisters name in chinese because she's always been there for me n such and she's just really close to me for the past 6 years. But yeah, make it count =) its going to be there forever

^ well i want something like it and i might put my name in the middle like put my name and let them connect with the curve on top...or idk..if i do think its worth it i will get one and well i will go to the shop and see whats he got in the book and get something simlar...

If you want it on your back, you should get it across your shoulder blades, rather than the lower back.

If you think it'll look good [I think it'll look fine], then get it. Who cares what other people think, it's your own personal choice. I agree, a lot of women get tattoos in that area, but you can be different and get one there too. When I'm 18 I wanna get two purple/silver stars on my wrists :] I'll be so "hardXcore" hehe.

Maybe you can get an arm band. They look pretty cool and I don't think it would show if you wore a polo.

I've never been a big fan of tattoos...get something that means something to you, not what 'looks cool'. Remember, before you get it done, picture it on you 50 years from now...

Mmhmm. I agree. The lower back does seem sorta feminine, but its not that bad. I think pecs look sexy (and ex of mine had one there), but across the shoulder blades are awesome too. I say go with the sholder blades if you want one on your back.
