cB should have "holidays" where you can loosen up the rules just for the day. we can have a partyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.
this isn't spam.

*sigh*
well, if you mean loosening the rules in terms of being mor elenient about spam and such, have you considered the job the mods would have clearing up afterwards?
if you mean relaxing member bashing restrictions, have you considered the inevitability that no one would let the arguments go after the holiday? i think we on CB have proven ourselves mightily incapable of just dropping things and moving on...
if you mean in terms of advertising, again consider the number of threads staff would then have to go back and close/delete.
all round, a dreadful idea

Well, thats like having a party though. It'll leave mods in charge of cleaning up. No offense, but I don't think it's such a good idea. It'll encourage spammers to spam more on the "holiday" and things could get out of hand. Such as unnessary topics, spam, member bashing.

I don't support this idea.
Rules are to be followed at all times, and there should be no exception.

I agree, i think this is a dredful idea. As James said, the cleanup afterwards would be horrible

i, too, concur with james. and it would be mostly peopel staff because that's where most of the spamming goes on.

Oh my....yes, let's all have more hell on CB for a day, and then a week cleaning up the spam/vulgar topics/banning & bashing members...yada yada yada.
The definition of a "CB HOLIDAY" is if everyone actually did obey the rules and made the job of modding much easier. now, THAT would indeed be a holiday :)

Agreed.
And no. IMO, that's a very bad idea.

Sunds being the key word. I like KissMe2408's idea of a CB Holiday sooo much better.
The other one would probably require every staff member to be moved over to People staff temporarily.

max, read that. the cleaning would be hell and post counts would go up so much. theres always the option of not counting post counts, but then nobody would post and it seems pointless.

how about a "holiday" thread where spamming (as in going off topic) (but not member bashing) is allowed for a day, then the thread is deleted?

off topicness should be allowed in certain threads.

morphing?
i remember when i was like in elementerary ,god i can't spell, school i used to read those animorph books. ha ha..those were weird..
off topicness/randomness all the way

I don't know how we could instate a mophing topic, but personally I don't mind when it gets off topic sometimes- especially in like the hate thread when I don't like the topic to begin with- but personally I would enjoy it. Once again, the fab five owned everything
didn't it end at like 30 something? either that or that's where i stopped reading. i don't remember. i liked them for a long time in elemntary school though. i also liked the everworld books by that author even better </off topic>

yea.

I remember being so pissed off in first grade because most of the class wasn't allowed in the chapter book section, but she let James, and I was jealous because I could read as well as him, so I boycotted the picture books and didn't read anything from the school library except Amelia Bedelia for the rest of the year
