Best bet would be to check out the I-river support site.

I've heard of windows having issues with the H10 before, so the answer might be on there.

You can't return it? Thats odd. Where did you buy it?

I have the h10, too. And my computer didn't have service pack 1 or 2, either. But I don't know, but ok, try taking out the battery and then putting it back in (i think it's only 5&6gb's though) and then press that circle button (the right one on the front) and turning it on at the same time and for me it worked, like in my computer you could see the icon. So click on that icon and there should be some files that say like music in it or something, it could be hidden. I don't know, but that's what I did and it worked fine. It just wasn't in the music category, it was in the browser tab-thing.

hmm acid would be very helpful here.

Mysticriver.com or .net dont remember. But its a site all about iriver. from the acutal players, to mods, to firmware upgrades. They will fix your player.

just remember to search before you post for help, as someone else has probably had that problem.

ok: h10's are either UMS mass storage or they're WMP dependent, depending on which firmware you use.

my guess is you have the UMS storage firmware, which would be why WMP isn't recognising it.

also, misticriver.net has the links to the latest firmware, which usually will solve problems like that.
