I recently downloaded firefox because IE was, as always, driving me nuts. and my internet connection is with AOL. Well I went to my xanga on it and my xanga is completely distorted and some of my coding is missing. Are there options I can do to fix this? Or is all hope lost lol.

With AOL

With Firefox

First, there's something wrong with your links. You don't need the extra http://] in front of your link.

Okay let me see... I think Xanga said something that it only works well with IE and Mozilla... so I guess something may go wrong in other browsers =\

Firefox can't read certain html like custom scroll bar colors and what not so many of your codes will not work when you use it.

mozilla makes firefox. not the other way around. and firefox doesnt distort anything. xanga's just f**ked up. it's compatable with IE, because IE doesnt follow standards. firefox does, and so bad coding doesnt read on firefox the same way it does on IE.

where the hell did you all get that it's xanga's fault?
it's the coding...

here's a tip, next time, do the coding with mozilla.
because if mozilla works, then ie does too.

What they said...Just code it in firefox and it'll be friendly for everyone

And firefox is by far the better browser wink.gif

Well, i'm having a problem with a skin someone posted here. Its the Naruto-kun skin found here: http://www.createblog.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=49954

It looks fine in IE, but doesnt work in mozilla. As mozilla is my main browser, this wont work. :( But i love the skin!!! lol.

Any ideas???

using classes in firefox doesn't work with xanga too well, so use inline style with your divs for more chances of compatability (at least my experiences tongue.gif ) i.e: [CODE]<div id="blah" style="add positioning etc">Add content</div>

And yeah design your site in firefox and it will work in IE (check out my xanga)

Ok. I'll give that a shot when i get home. I haven't designed a xanga skin yet, so it may take a while. Do you know where i could get a listing of all the css styles that xanga uses? I've seen some skins with comments explaining what it does, but i've yet to find a complete list. Thanks for your help!!

if you look in the skins and compare the css stylesheets to that actual appearance of the skin, you can understand it better.
