I want to have a custom header with clickable links. I created an image and made an image map, but it doesn't work in band layouts! I have downloaded all of the python plugins and so forth for GIMP 2.6.7, but I cant figure this "slice" thing out.

Use Photoshop CS2. Works like a charm.
Oh, but first, (and I assume you're using Ubuntu) you should download Wine which is a Windows program converter for quite a few operating systems, including Ubuntu. Then, just download a torrent of Adobe Photoshop CS2 that comes with an easy key generator. Install Photoshop, crack it with the key generator, and done. Here's a little guide that could help you out. However, it doesn't explain how to crack it so you're on your own there. It's not too hard, though. Most tech-junkies on here can probably explain more fluently. |

You don't need plugins for GIMP's Image Map feature to work. Myspace has disabled pound symbols on 1.0 profiles altogether, which is why they don't work on band profiles. Till they make the full switch to 2.0, just use the Rectangle Select Tool for now. Crop the image into sections and paste them into new canvases. Save and upload each of them then put them back together using <table> and <img> tags.
