Does myspace profile have to be public for tracker to work? |

I put the code on my page in the about me section & what not but it doesnt display any stats when i check it & I have been getting hits on my page from other people so im confused...? Is it because my profile was on private?

^Yeah, I figured that out when I first used the tracker. I found out that if the tracker image is not seen, it won't be counted in your stats.

No, you're profile does NOT have to be set to public for it to track visits with the tracker.
Place the tracker code in your headline, that way it is loaded even for people who hit that "This profile is set to Private" page. |

^Yes, you'd HAVE to set your profile to public in order for the tracker to work. Link codes don't work in the Headline section so that method will result to a couple of dots instead of a tracker image.

So the tracker will work, but I'm sure it's frowned upon to not include the link to createblog with the tracker code. So technically speaking, it CAN work if you have just the image in your headline. I tried the code and they replace the tracker image with this. Like I said, it won't work in the headline. Therefore, it won't work on a private profile.

Ahh I see.
CB must grab the code from the url you enter to use the tracker on, then check for the code and if it doesn't contain the whole original code it doesn't allow it to work. Never thought of that. |
