how to protect my pictures ?

i want to prevent people from stealing my pictures .

and i know someone has stole my pictures .

i really need help on this .

You can put a watermark on your images.

or if they are pictures in a layout [like div's] then you can put a transparent lyer over them [full proof]

It depends if you're talking about your album photos or your layout images.

You can also prevent people from right-clicking, if it's in a layout. But then there's always screencaps. You'd be better of watermarking, like others above me have said. I normally sign my stuff though, with a little brush and/or my name in a place where if it's blurred out, it'll look weird.

like, do you want to display it nicely?
if you're looking to display it without putting a watermark on it, put © YOURNAME on the photo in a place that would be complicated to Photoshop it out. Putting a no-right click html on your website won't help. Anyone can just print screen it if you do that.

basically it depends on the location of your picture, and from there people can help you out. watermarks will be good but it would be tacky on profile pictures....
