or if they are pictures in a layout [like div's] then you can put a transparent lyer over them [full proof]

You can also prevent people from right-clicking, if it's in a layout. But then there's always screencaps. You'd be better of watermarking, like others above me have said. I normally sign my stuff though, with a little brush and/or my name in a place where if it's blurred out, it'll look weird.

like, do you want to display it nicely?
if you're looking to display it without putting a watermark on it, put © YOURNAME on the photo in a place that would be complicated to Photoshop it out. Putting a no-right click html on your website won't help. Anyone can just print screen it if you do that. |

basically it depends on the location of your picture, and from there people can help you out. watermarks will be good but it would be tacky on profile pictures....
