so now that I'm over the shock...
this didn't feel like Bella and Edward's story at all. the book was good and all, but Meyer changed the tone completely. it was like another random book. if it weren't for the whole vampire/human/wolf, wedding, and so on...you could have picked it up and basically gotten it if you hadn't read the first three. like I said, it was good, but it wasn't right. it's not like the other books. |

I was pretty happy with it until I got to the second part. I really didn't like that part AT ALL. It seemed unnecessary and pointless to have there. I guess it was better than reading about how sick Bella was, though.
And I mostly agree with RockItStudios..it didn't seem to be telling their story very much. I thought it did pretty well up to the end of part one, where it was just dumb. I was very disappointed by the end. Just talking? No epic battle? ONE death? That was really upsetting. And I guess I would've been fine with that if it hadn't finished and then the book was pretty much over. I don't know why that bothered me, but it seemed REALLY rushed (after the Volturi left) I did like most of part three though. I'd say it's a good book though, and was worth buying. |

^ Me too. Let's put a warning, everything after this point will not be spoiler marked. YE BE WARNED!
.... The end with just talking with the Volturi, yeah, BIG DISAPPOINTMENT. I WANTED ACTION DAMMIT! Oh, and Edward just seemed a bit too indifferent towards Reneesme. Maybe because in the beginning he just wanted to kill her. *shrug* It did just seem like another random book. I'm happy that its finally done and then we can just scrutinize all the movies when they come out. :D |

I went ahead and edited a spoiler alert in the subject title.
People have been warned, so there shouldn't be a problem and the book's been out about a week now. Most people I know have already read the entire thing. So from this point on, don't worry about spoiler tags. |

I just finished it, finally.
I have to say... I really didn't want them to have a kid. I was really hoping that they would get rid of it... All the books have been soley based on Edward and Bella and now this.. Eh. But Seriously the Book Two in Jacob's mind was really terrible. It seemed like Bella didn't even love Edward - there was ZERO Edward/Bella affection going on. And then throughout the whole book it doesn't even seem like Edward has anything to do with his daughter... usually there is that whole daddy's little girl thing, but Meyer didn't portray anything of the like. I liked the beginning and ending a lot.. but the whole pregnancy and birth stages were so hard to read, it got me really angry. |

Okay, I'm gonna read the first chapter of Midnight Sun *shrugs. Maybe it was different than what I thought it would be. http://www.stepheniemeyer.com/pdf/midnightsun_chapter1.pdf wtf it says copyright 2006. =/ BLAH it's kind of like rereading the series -_- Though, seems interesting enough. I'll probably buy it. im so happy to finaly hear what edward was thinking all that time! and what he did all night other than just stare at bella |

QUOTE(banhbao Posted Today @ 11:19 AM ) The Edward story is darker, and I guess Meyer has taken the violent turn in writing, haha. *shrugs. I'm not interested in his part really, but sigh, Twilight sucks me in. =( Me neither, but like you said, I'm probablly going to end up reading it too. I have to say, I was disappointed with the book. Officially, I hate Edward. |

I thoguht Edward was annoying. He was such a two-face jerk to Jacob. If anything, he should've been little more grateful towards him!

Hmm...you don't think she's going to write another book about Jacob/Nessie in the future? Now that would be...bizarre.

In a recent interview on EW.com Meyer talked about the fans reaction to the book and named the "wild reaction" a Rob effect because she believes that the fans need a little bit of time to accept the book and the plot like they did when Robert Pattinson was cast as Edward Cullen for the upcoming movie. EXACTLY! i mean look at the robert love now compared to the hate he had at first. . people will grow to love it. |

And I'm not a huge fan of Kristen Stewart... I think she is too lanky for Bella. When I picture her blushing, I expect like... these pinchable cheeks. Stewart has like no meat to her face, or any of her for that matter. |

No, I liked Robert from the start, so pft. ROBERT IS SEXYYYY. durh. It's Stewart I'm annoyed with -_-. i couldn't agree with you more. well stephenie is working on the book through edward's eyes, is she just going to make that one book or go through all 4? because that would be such a bitch to write & to re-read the same story again. just through a different perspective. i think the ending to breaking dawn was just perfect. i mean there doesn't need to be an extension to it with jacob & renesme. they've imprinted so it's not like you can really write much afterward about that. it's obvious that they're going to get married or be lovers for the end of time. it's like a done deal. nothing else to talk about. i think she ended the series very well. |
