i want a subdomain.
i'm saying freewebs and other sites like that make you pay to use ftp services.
is there a way i can do this without paying?

I seriously doubt Freewebs is going to charge you to upload stuff. Most free hosting servers just have a kind of built-in FTP that you can log on to and transfer files through.

But if you're looking for a subdomain, you can check out the Hosts Looking for Hostees page or post on the Hostees Looking for Hosts topic.

I don't think Freewebs has FTP (I'm not sure) but it does allow you to upload from your computer though it takes a while if you have a lot of things.

I would suggest you browse through some sites that are hosting. You can usually find hosts through other people's affiliates.

Here's one http://chanlu.org/hosting/

freewebs does charge but i'll just use the regular version instead.
it seemed quicker when i used to use microsoft frontpage and i figured ftp worked the same.
i need to use ftp so i could use a blog service like cutephp.

but thanks anyways.
