Okay, idk how to use a layout for lj, i need help

and also, what is "look and feel"?

Look and Feel is for Xanga, totally different. What are you confused about with LiveJournal?

Oh, I forgot about that. It's been forever. There should be a tab that says, "Look and Feel" in the Edit Journal Style area.

That's the right page - If you scroll down to the bottom of the page, you'll see the place to paste the code.

Check out "Header image not showing up" in the following thread if, once you've put the codes in, part of the layout isn't showing up:
