Entries help? Options

Right, so I'm brand new to LiveJournal and stuck already, so help is very much appreciated :]

Ok, so I think an example is required:
An icon-maker's LJ, they usually have a few teasers of their icons, then a link below saying "view more" (or words to that effect), then when you click that, you go to a new page with many more icons on it.

I want to know how to do this?
I'm not sure how to insert one of these links, or how to fix it so there are many more images or more text on the next page...

It's probably something really simple, but I'm easily confused with stuff like this!

Just do an lj cut, Post it after the teasers, like this:

And how do you change the text so it says something other than "read more"?
