Okay, so this movie has taken FOREVER to finally be done. The last news I heard, Rob Zombie wanted it to be more gorey. The originals don't have that much gore in them, but I think I might give this one a chance... I mean his other movies were entertaining, but Halloween seems like a serious movie for him to be doing. Any opinions on this? Anyone going to see it?

I might see it. I saw the commercial for it last week and I hope it will be scary, I like to be thrilled.

I sort of don't get it because aren't there other Halloween movie in the past. Is this just like a newer and different version or something? o.O

That being said, I am definitely seeing this movie. Probably drunk, cuz thats the only way you're getting me into a scary movie willingly.

It's going to be different than the other Holloween movies, that's for sure. I don't know yet if it's different in a good way or a bad way, but I'll give it a try.

i agree rob zombie = bad director
his house of a thousand corpses was not even scary. I hope this Halloween remake lives up to the original one. I'll probably end up going to watch it because there are no good scary movies out now.

The first time I saw the trailor, my reaction was: "Oh wowwww, now I've got to see that!"
I was kind of eh, about it coming out early though.

the movie was actually decent. it was pretty scary at the end. but the beginning was very disturbing. at the end of the day i only care if the movie scared me or not and it did.I had my head turned at some of the parts which never really happens. i suggest you have a strong stomach before watching the movie. The beginning is really gruesome. um yea i think rob zombie is getting better, even though he is tainted throughout the movie (meaning there is a lot of sex and teenage titty action). overall i thought it was decent.

Exploring the psychology of Michael Myers may be very "Zombie" but it's also really tired and really boring. The entire mystery and terror behind Michael Myers disappears when you realize he's just some lame f**ked up kid from a lame f**ked up family. No suspense whatsoever. No character development really, let alone intelligent or meaningful character development. Photographed horrendously. Action sequences couldn't be more blurry, more MTV commercial, more extreme close up. The "abridged version of the original" sort of ending really blew my anus. The movie was pretty disappointing, but I can't say I hate it. Colorful dialogue in the first act, a few nice surprises for fans of the original, and a new perspective. An alright attempt at a remake/prequel - at the very least, a masterpiece in comparison to the more recent alternative installations to the series (i.e. H2O, Resurrection).

I still haven't seen this. I haven't had much free time lately. I'm worried that Rob Zombie made him a character that you can symptahize with, like he's known to do in his other movies.
