i'd say is the best free new file sharing technology out there. no files are ever corrupted and downloads always finish. (the files are only corrupted if the person who made the upload messed up preparing it somewhere)

i use utorrent1.6. awesome speeds, consistent upload and connection to peers, and the speed guide is a beauty. not only that, it only uses 5-10 percent of my system resources, so i never lag while i'm doing something else.

THE WORLD IS COMING DOWN TO BITTORRENT.
just as cassettes and videotapes went to dvds.
kazza, limewire, bearshare, edonkey, will all go to bittorrent.
MUAHAHAHHAHA.

i won't go into detail, if you don't know what it is, then don't =]. any more information might get this thread deleted.
is kyro still the moderator of this forum?

Because this thread is really old, I don't see why this topic shouldn't say open.

However, it would probably be beneficial for you to read through it to get some ideas.

Personally, I use Azureus.

And no, Kyro is not longer a moderator here.

utorrent is has been merged with bittorrent (as in bram cohen's client). you're going to have to watch out if they change it to be more MPAA/RIAA/whateverAA friendly, if you're concerned with privacy.

I LOVE torrents... best things ever. Just the fact that they go super fast and you can always count on them being finished.

If it wasn't for torrents, I would never be able to watch all my tv shows.

I like BitComet. It looks good, and even someone very computer-challenged can use it. And I agree with shampoo192, I like how you can choose which files to download.

Utorrent is good. Easy to use and good interface. and yea, u gotta be careful when you download torrents (I been using them for about 3-4 years now) since with all the MPAA thing going around. It getting a bit more and more dangerous in terms of getting caught.
