so i'm going to homecoming with a group of friends, but my ex happens to be in that group. we're on good terms, but my mom doesn't want me to go in the same group as him. she's even threatening to return my dress and not let me go to homecoming at all.

i've tried persuading her that i'm alright with the issue, but apparently she really does not want me to go. if i don't go with them, then my ex will probably assume that it was because he was in the group... and our future encounters will forever be awkward and weird. i don't want to lose his friendship and have all my friends gossiping about me...argh. sometimes i hate homecoming and the drama that comes with it. any suggestions on what i should do? sad.gif

let's see.. persuading mom doesn't work..
ah. can you sneak with them? like pretend you're going with a different group of friends but tell them why you need them to pick you up or whatever. during the whole homecoming, you're with the real group of friends, and they'd know the reason why.

Well did bad things happen when you two were going out, becuase it's possible she doesn't want anything to happen to you. I do understand how that feels though...And it sucks.
I hope all goes well

well maybe you should tell your mom all the consequences that will happen if you DON'T go.
if she understands so much that you can't see your ex (typical), then maybe she'll understand the consequences more.

plan b: sneak out.
