Can we stop jockers? Options

Here's a conversation with a person wanting help with one of my layouts. I even have in my comments "don't mess with the overlay image,and don't jock my layouts or codes".

So where do i post the code on the page for a band website...
cause i tried to post it in the BIO... but the page doesnt overlay properly over the music post... and everything..

Well to be honest take the layout off,I can't stand people who mess with the image overlay and try to make it their own. As far as I know you're a jocker. Use someone elses layout.

I am a very nice person,except you think you can steal my layouts and change them around.A jocker is a person who steals. I bet you weren't even going to leave my credit on. I made the layout ,that's why people come to createblog to find layouts,it's not come to createblog and see what we can jock and claim for ourselves.

Did you see how the person used "edited" instead of "erased and changed".
I mean createblog is a very good site in providing people with layouts they either aren't able to or cannot create,but it just goes a little too far when people want to mess with layout and try to claim it as their own. Who else agrees that if people come to this site,they should not claim the layouts as their own?

from now on, put your credit on the image. that's the best you can do.

The only thing you can do is ignore them. One of their friend will know he/she/it is doing something unusual.

i mean, c'mon. cB is popular and well-known for graphics and designs.

alot of people come here and ... look at pictures. these pictures posses into their mind.

I agree with you that people shouldn't do that. But what can we do? These people constantly do that. They steal other peoples work , try to submit them, thinking no one would notice. Like a recent incident. Really , I don't know of anything that we can do . These people just aren't creative, and only find success in stealing other peoples work. I totally agree with you though. But yea.

we can't exactly do anything about it, except you can just not submit your layouts.

put credits on all your images, it may not help if people just put in their own images but thats all you can do.

I don't think I can pull those layouts out though. I mean, yes, I have the powers but, there needs to be definitive proof.

Okay,I thought people would quit,but I was wrong. This layout was accepted and all of the codes are exact to mine,they are in the same order and everything. Why does this happen,and if you're a jocker and you're reading this,get a life.

I read the entire post, so bare with me here.

On the topic of jockers, I only have one thing to say whether or not it's what people want to hear, well.

Firstly art is art, if you look at alot of personal websites today: (xanga, www.this.com, myspace) there are alot of people who have taken ideas from other people and well, warped them. It's the same with music, if you listen to alot of bands songs, over a period of time you'll notice a pattern.

some of the chord structures are the same, only reversed or ect.

take for instance, polly by nirvana.
you know the chords you love them
this might surprize you, but if you play "dumb" from in utero.
GASP! it's pretty much the same chord structure for the verse
only a either backwords, or somethings switched around.
(it's been a while, and yes i am a fan)

I know you are thinking to yourselfs "but what does this have to do with jockers?"
art imitates life.
there is nothing in art AT THIS MOMENT, that hasn't been already done at least once.
i see alot of layouts (not from this forum) but in general that very similar to ones i've seen in the past. I give people alot of credit because I've been busting my tush trying to figure this stuff out for the past month, with no real headway.

So, maybe they did steal your codes, or maybe they did use a picture.
Maybe they are jealous of your skills.
I guess it all boils down to how crafty you are, at making your images "your own" and when to recognize somebody stealing it.
The only real way to prevent this from happening?
I suggested some kind of "sig" or something.
