overflow: Isn't working; Options

ok I cant get the horizontal scrollbar to stop...... I have added codes but they screw up the code any ides????

Adding a width to the dates usually will stop it. Just make sure the blog is about 10px wider than the date bar and 10px smaller than the width of the containing div. Does that make sense?
Oh, and if it concerns you, overflow-x: none/hidden; only works in IE.
