I hate nosebleeds. I get them most of the time in the summer do the climate, but everytime I have a nose bleed, I swear I lose a gallon of blood. It takes about an hour for me to make the bleeding stop.

How do you guys treat your nosebleeds besides ice and tilting your head up? My grandpa uses this special herb thing and puts in my nose and it greatly stops the bleeding in 5 minutes.

QUOTE
Note: Do not tilt your head back. This may cause blood to run down the back of your throat, and you may swallow it. Swallowed blood can irritate your stomach and cause vomiting. And vomiting may make the bleeding worse or cause it to start again. Spit out any blood that gathers in your mouth and throat rather than swallowing it.

You're welcome

Gross. My brother used to get nosebleeds all the time when he was younger. My mom can't stand the sight of blood so whenever my brother would get one she'd sit down in a chair and just be like "oh my god, oh my god" lol but he got a really bad nosebleed once that wouldn't stop, so he went in and had to get a bunch of blood vessels cauterized, and he hasn't had a nosebleed since.

I honestly don't think I've ever had a nosebleed...

I used to get nosebleeds all the time when I was a kid. It got especially bad in the winter when the air's drier.

The first thing I'd always do is take a tissue, rip 1 inch strips from it, roll the strips up and make nostril tampons lmao. Once they're in, I pinch the area of my nose right below the bone, where the cartilage starts. Then I just sit and wait.

I read/heard that ice is good, but I'm usually way too pressed for time ripping pieces of tissue up to get myself some ice, plus one of my hands is always used up pinching my nose.

It usually goes away in <5 minutes, though one time I bled for at least 15 min (it was kind of horrifying). Once I even bled through both nostrils while in line for boarding an airplane in Cuba (long story)

This, word for word.

My longest nose bleed has been (probably) an hour. I was a kid with a pretty f*cked up nose.

I rarely get them. I sometimes do in the winter cause it's so dry

But I did get one from getting hit in the face with a soccer ball in 5th grade, and one this year from accidentally getting shoulder bashed.

That one took forever to stop :p

But I always hate those big blood clobs that get in your mouth.
