i hate it when people put fruits in regular food. like pineapple pizza. i don't get how that's good. or apples in potato salad or mangos and oranges in chicken.

I don't know about some of the combination.. but some things are pretty good with fruit. Like ham with sliced pineapple. I don't like pineapple on pizza cause it doesn't allow the cheese to cook properly.

Man I thought I was the only one! I hate Hawaiian pizza.

Fruit should be eaten with other fruit, or combined with desserts, not with savoury foods! It's actually not unpleasant but it's just sort of weird to randomly have a burst of fibrous sweetness when I'm eating something savoury. Shudder.

I don't like Hawaiian pizza for the first reason; and apples in potato salad? Ew D: I like citrus-flavored poultry sometimes, but only when it's made in a certain way, and the citrus can't overpower the taste of the meat. I really like this noodle dish that's flavored with mandarin oranges or something like that. ..I just love citrus fruits in general, heh.

I think I'm the only person here who likes all those combinations. Minus the apples in potato salad. That's just odd.

Oh I don't mind fruit flavours so much, I think it's really nice sometimes, but chunks of discernible fruit in my food...no thank you.

by "real food" i don't mean cakes, desserts, or anything that's meant to be sweet. i mean like... food, food. what you eat during your meal, not after.

i've had foods where there's been warm fruits in them. Like warm pineapple and such. To me, i hate warm fruits, and usually fruits in food are warm, which means i'm not a fan of fruits in food.

For the most part I hate savory foods mixed with anything sweet/sour.

I like warm cinnamon apples, that's the only warm fruit I like.

I can imagine fruit tasting good with chicken, but that's really the only meat I would consider. But I hate f*cking pineapple no matter what it's on.

boooo avocados don't count. technically a fruit but often treated as a vegetable.

avocado is probably the one exception for me then.

I think avocados and tomatoes are the types of produce that are fruits scientifically but are treated as vegetables in cuisine. I don't care either way, but I refer to tomatoes as fruits because I love to eat them raw and in my salads. I like to have avocados in salad, too, but only when it's cubed; with tomatoes, I like having whole big slices in salad, sandwiches, and burgers not made in fast food restaurants.

You break my heart. I love fruit in food. I always put grapes and walnuts in chicken salad, cranberries in corn bread stuffing, mandarin oranges in stir fries, and so on.

I put fruit in my food, too. But I don't like it when the fruit overpowers the other ingredients in a dish.
